Frank, I own 3 pairs of your boots, and I love each one. To me, they are worth every penny. I USED to buy Whites until their quality to a nose dive! I was having my boots fixed by my local cooler. He showed me your boots, and I instantly fell in love. I've been buying Franks ever since. It's not easy to find another customer that appreciates these, so I thought I would go right to the top. I'm glad you went out on your own. You guys are awesome. You Def have a customer here for life. I am wearing a pair of boots I bought from you in 2020 every day. I bought another pair because I wanted to have the new boot experience. None of my boots are worn out they just don't die. Thanks again, Frank.
I remember in the 60’s-70’s when Whites were the only game in town. You could order custom fit or off the shelf when widths ranged from A to EEEE, no more D & E only. Now Franks & Nick’s have many more options. I logged in those days, will never forget the torture of the break in, worth it for many years of service and rebuilds.
After ordering a couple pairs of Franks Boots online and having them rebuild a pair of Nicks Boots I found myself in Spokane this weekend. I stopped in to check out Frank’s shop. Frank is one of the neatest down to earth guys you’ll ever meet. I ended up buying another pair of boots while I was in there. I couldn’t be more pleased with the craftsmanship and quality of Franks Boots. Thanks guys!
Just recieved mine a few weeks ago and they are awesome! If anyone reading this is thinking about ordering some boots, you really should. Great group of people and great customer service. I will be ordering another pair soon!
It sounds like the Nicks people remember all work at Frank’s. Edit: the Wranglestar video was taken of these people in that very building. “Nicks”moved but Frank & company are still there.
Hi Frank. You should be immensely proud of what you’ve accomplished. I’ll be placing my first order soon as a bday present from my lovely wife, and will be promoting ur product here in Coloado every chance I get.
Will be ordering soon my first pair soon. Been looking at nicks for about 6 years but couldn't make the dive financially, but now I can, and y'all have stepped away from them to make a better Boots, and a better individualized service experience. Love the beautiful work you guys do, and plan to be in a few pairs within the next 6 years.
I'll have to save up but definitely going to order some custom Franks over Nicks! Keep the videos coming! Would like to see some 'weird' custom combos or the differences from the styles and what they would be used for.
I had a pair of packers built a year ago before they even offered a packer boot. I love them and am even considering ordering another pair. These are great boots!!!
Sold! I hope to be an electrician and won’t make the mistake of starting out with crap boots, I’m gonna burn through my Thorogoods (which I enjoy) and get an upgrade from Franks!
Hey Frank, just sent my foot measurements in last week and can't wait for my T1 Commanders. I see some boots on the wall behind you have a shaft that leans way back and some are nearly vertical. Can you tell me why they differ?
Ok sooo. I’ve liked Nicks for a long time and recently visited their site to check out some boots and noticed prices have gone up and now some options which ought to be included in the already high price of the boots are extra cost. I could be mistaken but I had thought the boots were already hand welted and now if you want them hand welted it’s an additional cost. It’s not a deal breaker if they aren’t hand welted but at a certain point you start to wonder why you’re paying $500+ .....
Jonathan Grandt i was looking at the same thing. Bought my first pair just over a year ago and now 5 bucks for rough out 5 bucks for this 5 for that 45 to fit the boot. I was like WTH?! How can it cost 5 dollars more to flip the leather. They should make a video explaining that.
Handwelted actually isn't as good as the McKay Lockstitch that is now the norm. There certainly is a coolness factor to the handwelt though, so they still offer it. Handwelt costs more because of the time involved.
Whites boots was started there to supply the wildland fire world, then Nicks boots broke off and then Franks broke off Nicks. Also with the logging industry being so prominent and active for the last 200 years shops have come and gone quite a bit.
@@Xdigitalboss jk is kinda like Frank's in that they are still a relatively new company with only a fraction of the employees Nicks or Whites have therefore a more personal experience going through the process of getting your boots. I have boots of all different kinds from Nicks, White's, Frank's, Wessco, JK, and Chippewa. I like them all but the larger the company the poorer the customer service can be. So if your new to the higher end boot buying process i would go with JK or Frank's in that order. They all make great boots and styles the other may not carry so options are good to have. Its kinda like higher end tools from snap on, Mac, Matco, & SK. All great, just depends on your style and relationship with the seller that brings you there and keeps you there. Hope this helps.
On the wranglerstar video he did a video about nicks boots. That guy who was building the heel looked like he was on Meth . After seeing that I wouldn't order a pair from them. I was counting on that also. Was very disappointed.
Frank (and his family) owned Nick's, and they decided to sell Nick's. After taking 6 months off, Frank himself decided he missed making boots, so he bought the Nick's building Nick's had just moved out of and hung his own shingle.
I am a diesel technician with very particular feet, pair that with having to be on my feet for 8+ hours of the day and footwear becomes very important. Just tried getting a pair of custom boots from nicks. Whoever picked up the phone was very rude and not very helpful at all. Combine that with the rumors that quality is going down, no thank you sir. Whites has gone the same way. Wesco takes too long and is far too expensive for inferior quality! Unfortunately your website is down so I guess I'll call sometime this week. But thank God for capitalism and opportunity! Best of luck to your new company I'll be sure to get the word out!
I guess it depends how you are thinking??? Most of the lasts are the same, some are only very slightly different. Same build type, same kinds of machines, same materials from the same sources. Frank's owned & managed Nick's in the works out of the previous Nick's building, and employs ex-Nick's employees. So in many ways the same? Difference? Frank's has more experience making the boots than Nick's when you consider employee experience. Frank's is able to offer more choices & options because of the higher level of experience and mastery. Frank's is is able to offer a more personal experience, and more custom boot. So very little difference, while at the same time quite a bit of difference? 🤷♂️
No I actually talked to junior about a pair of my boots yesterday, the store front has been close due to coronavirus. The shop has been open. Just call if you need something.
Haha, I'm sure that you guys make great boots, but you DEFINITELY need a more charismatic host for your TH-cam videos. Either that, or just get drunk first.
One thing that has me ordering any pairs of boot is the uneven stitching. As a silversmith, making everything look even and straight is a must but every bootmaker in the USA cant stich a straight or contoured line for shit aside from Koreans. Good grief, your asking $500+for a pair of boots with uneven stitching. Shame.

you guys are not just workers, you are basically artists doing boots! high quality and totally focus in giving the customer the best! congratulations!!
Frank ,this is great,it is nice to do it on own, always good for your soul,
God bless

Thank you Frank am looking forward to buy me a pair of nice boots soon!
I just ordered my fifth pair of Frank’s Boots. Their work boots and packers are incredible. I will put them to the test as hunting boots.
how's the test going after 4 years
I ordered another pair six weeks ago. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for the best boots available right now.
I got my boots this week. They’re awesome! Thanks
Boot company with a difference.
They have a bit of an edge over the competition.
Just ordered my Franks the other day. Pretty excited.
I had the same bad experience at Nick’s. Trying Frank’s. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
I'm all about customer service and friendly people to work with definitely going to Frank's boots the summer
I'll have to save up but definitely going to order some custom Franks over Nicks! Keep the videos coming! Would like to see some 'weird' custom combos or the differences from the styles and what they would be used for.

Handwelted actually isn't as good as the McKay Lockstitch that is now the norm.
There certainly is a coolness factor to the handwelt though, so they still offer it. Handwelt costs more because of the time involved.
Do you make boots with spenco insoles like Nicks?! I am looking to buy a boot from your semi dress line
Is there a reason why there are so many high-end boot makers near Spokane? Or just a mere coincidence?
Whites boots was started there to supply the wildland fire world, then Nicks boots broke off and then Franks broke off Nicks. Also with the logging industry being so prominent and active for the last 200 years shops have come and gone quite a bit.

Just ordered a pair of T1 steel toe boots this week. Looking forward to trying them out.
How did those work out for you
Awesome.
Ok cool so you’d recommend them pretty highly then
Definitely.
Your boots are good but I find the leg part pitch too much to the back
Who is running Nicks now.?
Why did you leave Nick's
Frank (and his family) owned Nick's, and they decided to sell Nick's. After taking 6 months off, Frank himself decided he missed making boots, so he bought the Nick's building Nick's had just moved out of and hung his own shingle.

I'm a field diesel tech as well.
I only wear Frank's
Hope you got some!
Did you end up getting some?
BravoBear Sure did! I wear them whenever I’m working, I’m probably due for a resole in the next six months
Rathern Otsay the website should be up now! Give us a call we can see what we can do to help you with your particular feet!

Not exactly.
Nicks boots are still in production.
@Champuk Bhosle Franks is alive and well! I highly recommend a pair or two!
