A great and detailed explanation how the deck works. You only forgot to say about self-damage interaction with Morkvarg. You can play it from your hand, kill it with the leader ability, Melusine, Hermit, Cerys etc. He will return to your melee row. Even if you didn't discard him, he still can be useful.
yeah, you can do that but man, that's not the most valuable way to play it, I guess if you draw it when you already played your discard cards you can use it soak damages and come back from the cemetery afterward but even then you still have better targets (Melusine, Sigvald or even Vildkaarl are precisely in this deck to take damages). it works but if you're at that point, that probably mean you're in a terrible situation (meaning, 1) you haven't been able to discard him and 2) you don't have better cards to deal damage to) and I doubt it save you
@@yozarahirvi4750 I am not saying it is a main win condition. But imagine in round 3 you have only 3 cards and few charges of the leader ability. You have something like Fucusia, Morkvarg and third - a "non-discard" card. I am talking about situations like this. In this case Morkvarg will play for solid 10 point. For me it happened few times. Also few times worked out in 1 round, when I was leaving Morkvarg from hand with 2 hp next to the svalblod priest and passed - in most cases people don't know (or forgot) how exactly Morkvarg works and it helps to win a round or pull out an additional card from their hand
Beasty, can you pls update the deck? Now it costs 2 provisions more, than we can afford. Or maybe just tell, which 6 we can drop out and wich 4 to add :-) Thank you for your decks! Dwarves are amazing, love them so much
Only just got this deck and I’m 2 provisions short. Can anyone tell me what cards have gone up in provisions and if there’s a good fix so I can play this deck
What one earth was the last opponent playing at?! 😭 Nice deck though, been struggling against it whenever I come up against it. Will have to try it out myself now
Thx so much for the deck. Finaly finished it yesterday (with slight changes because i guess some update changed provisions?) and its super fun. Btw my first game with it ended with my opponent forfeiting after he used Morkvarg on my Sigvald 🤣
Love the content, nice work with the deck. I've tried replicating it but for some reason I have only 166 provisions (vs Your 169). Why is that? What am I missing?
Seriously thea 😭 if you keep making amazing decks i will start considering micro transactions and pay to get all these good decks XD good content as always 😌🔥
Try setting up this combo - if done in long R3, it is ridiculous. I usually plop Defender, Melusine, Sigvald, and Knut... and it goes at least 10+ damage removal for every next turn... Knut damages already quite high Melusine, like 20+ Cerys heals Melusine and damages Sigvald Sigvald finisher heals self for ridiculous amount and damages whatever low is on board
Nice as always but I’m always surprised to see the Discard package and Cerys Fearless in one deck. Don’t think this fits together. Also I‘ve figured out that‘s often better to keep Cerys in round one on hand if possible.
yeah I know I should play every deck in the meta but I can't force myself to play nilfgard ! (I tend to dislike monsters but I think I can find a deck or two that would be cool to play if I try)
I think that Coral and Birna don't need nerfs, but maybe a rework to where they still benefit Discard tribal because they are way too overused in every skellige deck lol. Maybe Birna could have a similar effect to Coral while remove something else from it to balance the card. Self Harm just got a ton of changes to maybe next patch the devs will promote a discard deck so that Birna and Coral are still really good, but even better in a discard deck but a worse in a regular skellige deck. Just some speculation and thinking
I think Olaf instead of decree works very well. The deck needs another power play as Melusine is dealt with very often. There is also adequate thinning imo.
You don't play decree for thinning, you play it to ensure you have combo pieces together at the same time. Don't want to have all the enablers and no melu, or Knut and no sigvalf.
It takes about 8-10 hours of practice a day to even stand a chance of getting into an Open! I enjoy casting Gwent, and it leaves me a lot more free time :)
@@theabeasty it's crazy because you rarely even play against really good players on ladder. I guess to truly have great practice you must do scrims against other pros :(
Haven't played Gwent since the beta, but picked it up again over the weekend. Your guides have been most helpful.

Appreciate the detailed explanation - hopefully sees more players trying this deck / archetype. Thanks for the guide!

Awesome video, I usually don't play cerys, I'm a Svalblod self wound guy myself but looking forward to try her. Do you like Svalblod?
Nice smile, great accent, subbed
1:02:33 Your mage opponent casually Heatwaving a 3pt card.😂

Wow - what a deck!
Did they use heat wave on Sigvald because they didn't think you could come back from that point deficit anyway?

in a perfect world yes :D
Amazing deck, very fun to play. Thank you Beasty for the video 😊🔥
is this still vaiable on October ?
im so lost, why did they heatwave sigvald at the end 😂

They fit but you nneed to be careful with your muligans and as you said possibly to keep Cerys in hand in r1.
you can also try to pull her out first before using the discard if you still have them in round 3

LOVE THE DECK !! thanks
How long does it take for a beginner to build this kinda deck ?
Bekkers Dark Mirror is also nuts on a boosted Sigvald 😏
It's present to my birthday. Thanks you
Happy Birthday!
@@Max-l3z how is that fishing? He showed apprecieation. What's wrong with you.

I would recommend Ermion, maybe Ale. And Harald Houndsnout.
Not a fan of freya.
Интересная колода, спасибо за гайд

Yeah the last guy totally had it with the last play. To sad he selected the wrong target to banish.
Do u ever lose in a Match??
For sure haha!
youre a tier 1 deck
How long have you been playing Gwent?
Since Beta
Sigvald is so strong in this meta
I think I'm about to simp!!
❤️
Why not go pro in Gwent?
