Thank you both for this video! Your channel is great...I was hoping you would interview local DIY punk/alt rock/ deathrock/experimental etc etc musicians! Any music that sings to you and that has the spirit of express yourself fully! Don't let lack of great equipment/ lack of perfect skill stop you! Especially women♀️ musicians..Mexico city is getting renowned for a strong music scene.I will hopefully be seeing some intimate gigs when I come to Mexico. I am an older fanzine writer/ DIY type myself, good to see younger people being community oriented/ wanting to inspire other women🖤 I hope to come to Mexico late October/ early Nov. CV situation permitting, I hope the small live music venues are re-opening in CDMX and creativity is flowering again.
Thank you for watching and commenting, we will be hosting a 1 hour weekly radio program called 'Súbele' (Turn It Up) starting Wednesday 9/22 on Internet radio station La Bestia Radio CDMX. 12 noon CST, focusing on femme, queer, and other voices not as often heard on mainstream radio. We will do more videos on the local music scene, no doubt!
I am still waiting for the day when Mexicans proudly and publicly reference their own people as idols and role models instead of outside impositions and influences being their principal and constant reference
What an honor it must have been for these girls to be interviewed by one of the great ladies and legends of punk.
