I’ve had eye pressure on the higher side for at least 10 years. I’ve been doing keto for a year and my pressure is normal now.

God bless you Dr. Berry! Your videos are so inspiring. I’ve been T1D since 1991. Followed ADA American DEATH association!!) guidelines for 30 years. I have retinopathy, neuropathy, Charcot foot disease, RA, and in 2020 was put on Vanderbilt kidney transplant list with eGFR of 14. Since beginning my keto journey in 2020 I lost 70lbs and reduced my A1C from 9, and 10 to 6. Inspired by your videos I began carnivore in January 2024. I’m down another 20lbs, off 2 blood pressure meds, blood pressure is 106/72. Last A1C was 5.4!! Best of all I’ve avoided dialysis and my kidneys are healing. My last eGFR was 29. All health issues are now either improving or stable. Off my RA medicine and dupixent. You don’t know me, but you’ve changed the quality of my life. Out of all the doctors that I’ve ever seen in my life, and that’s a lot…, you’ve made the most difference in my health! I’m a completely different person now! Full of joy, peace, and overflowing gratefulness! May God bless you and you wife!!

Just had my 6 year ketoversary!!! That was July 1 marking when I started this journey with you and Neisha. Been maintaining the 100 pounds weight loss since the weight came mostly during the first year. My family eats probably 90 percent keto and definitely low carb. There aren't enough words to say thank you. I'm 67 years old. Keto really was my last hope. Thank you!!!

Hey, Dr. Berry!! Thanks for your advice!! I’ve been low carb and keto for 1 1/3 years now. I’m feeling young again!! Great energy and no joint pain!! I’m 56 and happy to be keto!! I keep saying, “keto-Karen can do anything!” For years, I had to drag myself up the stairs with the handrail!! No more!! I walk up now like a normal person! We all love you Dr Berry!!!! Cousin Kenny is a real prince!!! ❤❤❤

I know how you feel, it's exciting to feel so much better. I'm didn't use to be able to lift one leg to put my trousers on. Now I can lift a leg and hold it with my hands held up above my head; ie I'm not wavering or having to try and balance.

@@joanbuller2673My dog is 14-1/2. He has been on a raw food Ketovore diet. He eats a tiny bit of vegetable. He is a small dog and has allergy problems. Not skin…he gets that inverted sneeze that small flat faced dogs get (he’s part frenchie). He also was attacked by a large dog when he was a puppy and has had seizures since then. We put him on a raw food diet and give him CBD twice daily and his seizures and inverted sneezing are almost nonexistent. The other half of him is dachshund and we have never had to worry about him gaining weight with the raw food diet.

An unexpected benefit of carnivore is that my Dupuytren's Contracture has almost completely gone away in only three months. There was no pain, but it kept me from totally straightening my fingers on my right hand for several years, and there was a pronounced knot on my palm. That knot has shrunk 80%, and I have regained full mobility of my fingers. I'm doing the diet for my MS, but this is a nice side-benefit.

You need to change the name to "The Diabetes Prevention Society". That says it all-and it will get the attention of the WORLD because that is exactly what they're looking for! People will then ask why the ADA isn't doing that. Then you win.
The ADS is too similar to the ADA and people will confuse the two They will eventually give up on trying to remember the difference. It's not too late to change it and it will make your work so much easier for the public to understand.

I got so upset today. The last three times I have been to the Endocrinologist he has been on my case about my cholesterol which is 220...(200 is the highest allowed). Everything else is perfect. So, now he wants me to take Libitor. I refused. So he started giving me a lecture about how plugged up my arteries are and how my heart suffers. I asked him to give me a test to look at how "plugged" up my arteries are. He didn't know at first what that meant but looked it up on the computer and sent me for an ultrasound of my arteries on my neck. I will do that and then we shall see!
I probably could have been somewhat more subtle in my refusal and feel a little bad but here we are. I did apologize for my "no filter" before I left.
Just needed to vent a little here where people understand. Love you guys

I am so glad the kidney disease question was brought up. I just had bloodwork and my creatinine is slightly low. The medical advice online warns against eating too much protein. I didn’t think that was right. I like the advice you gave and will continue with ketovore. This and fasting is helping my A1cgo down. Last measure was 6.1 from a previous 7.8 while I am recovering from major surgery.

Dr. Berry: Correction on keto diet with kidney stones -- you MUST watch out for oxalates intake on the keto diet if you have kidney stones. Oxalate overload from eating almonds, walnuts, and peanut butter gave hubby kidney stones (all low carb, low sugar foods). Outside of oxalate overloading (stay below 20 grams / day in oxalates if sensitive/ or 200 grams /day is no problems, then keto is fine. Ensure you get plenty of water intake.

Spinach, kale almonds, all.can cause these oxolate stones. A good reason for lemon water and youre magnesium be citrate, and maybe some Dr Btaggs ACV. I got a kidney stone on Keto due to my almond and greens obsession. It was horrible. I was told to ise ACV or lemon water. Mu last check shows no stones.
My stone.was stuck in my ureter, it had to be lithotrypsied over Cbriatmas. I was at the airport to go see my baby grandson for the first rime. I was in denial.

My last echo had me at 20% EFR (I have congestive heart failure-CHF). I just had another one done on 3 Jul but won't know the results until 30 Jul...when I see the cardiologist. I also feel great. To be clear though, I'm keto not carnivore. Walk 6-7 miles a day and off most meds...not all. Still take one for my CHF and one for my thyroid condition. I encourage you to keep it up but still be careful and follow your docs plan/meds as needed. Once you're more improved, you can probably come off of some of the meds.

I started by wanting to keep my blood sugar level as I was on holidays and Dominican and passed out and hit my head realizing that it was low blood sugar and my father is diabetic after researching the keto diet now that I am 40 pounds lighter. I don’t have any more joint pain. I feel better than I have in years.

Someone has probably already mentioned this, but if you are going to make home-made yogurt, an instantpot (or equivalent -- I have a Ninja Foodi) is wonderful. I've had dairy goats for most of the last forty years or so, and had tried to make yogurt many times. I had good success with cheeses, and made kefir regularly, but was never happy with my home-made yogurt until I made it in an instantpot.

Oxalate overload from eating almonds, walnuts, and peanut butter gave hubby kidney stones (all low carb, low sugat foods). Oreland, PA here. I’m just a month in to carnivore. I began June 4th. I feel like I’m doing really well. I basically eat, meat and eggs and some cheese and milk. Not a lot of dairy though. I have not given up cream in my coffee. I’ve given up so much I’m just not ready to give up cream in coffee. I wake up every morning and my ankles and legs look normal but very soon after that and throughout the day my right leg especially at my ankle swells up. By evening it is more swelled than the morning. By the next day all is back to normal and the process begins again. I feel fine. My blood pressure is normal now with only one month on carnivore. I was taking 25 mg of losartin and 25 mg of HCT (first the HCT since that had been just prescribed) then the Losartin and my BP was going way to low so I weaned off of that also. At my doctor appt my bp was 139/90 with no med and even the doctor said it was because I was at his office. Typically it is in the 120’s/anywhere from mid 60’s to 83. Any thoughts on this one?

I never became incontinent, but did dread sneezing because I would leak a bit; and when I sneeze it is usually a minimum of 3 and full on sneezes, not just a little achoo. I've been low carb since Oct 2021, am down to my ideal weight and can sneeze without leaking now, unless I end up sneezing 5 or 6 times because by that time I cannot hold my pelvic floor muscles. I have been doing pelvic floor exercises over the last 4 years but I think it was a combination of losing the weight and the exercises that have helped in this area. I started low carb after being diagnosed with diabetes, which was remitted after less then 3 months. This year I've been eating a lot more meat.

I thought it was purely keto but then saw they are researching red light therapy for the eyes. We have concentrated red light receptors in the eyes and heart. I meditate in red light every morning. Maybe combination of both? I didn’t have macular degeneration though. I have astigmatism and type 2 with no retinopathy thank goodness. And A1C has normalized. So not sure why but first time eyesight has improved at 60 from 16 when I got glasses to drive. Still need glasses to drive though! 😅

Three months is not very long. You possibly still have some inflammation. The fact that you have noticed an improvement in the pain shows that what you are doing is benefiting you. You've lost 3 stone which is fantastic; so much less for your poor knees to carry around. I carried 2 bags of meat containing a total of just under a stone recently and was shocked to realise that I had lost just over 3 times that amount; I've just realised that you have lost about the same amount, I've lost nearly 3.5 stone.
