Marvellous! That 2-8-0 is pulling such a train and all the models are so well run and realistic ❤

We regularly pull 40+ wagon trains on David’s track. His 2-8-0 performed well as it usually does

An O gauge live steam loco pulling a train of 10+ coaches is a testament to the builder. That's seriously impressive.
Regards the very lovely SR rake of coaches, are these all scratchbuilt, or are they LMC models please?

David Meyrick tells me he built these coaches from Westdale kits and painted them. But they are something of a cheat. The two end vehicles, a Brake third and a Brake composite, are models of Southern steam stock. Westdale models produce the aluminium shells with tumblehome going along the entire length. David had to cut where the tumblehome joins the luggage end and squeeze that part flat and fit a fillet where they join.
The trailer coaches are all "borrowed" from his 6-PUL and 6-PAN Brighton electric sets, so have no business being included in a steam set! The Southern never had a nine-coach set! Put it down to poetic licence. The Steam boys don't seem to notice!
All coaches have ball-race bearings making them very free-running and they also have magnetic couplings within the set; the brake ends have conventional couplings to allow coupling to the loco.

Hi there, I thought Gauge 1 was the smallest live steam option! Nice to see these locomotives, does anyone build 0 Gauge live steam that one can purchase?

There are some Bowman/ Bassett Lowke / Burton Leech externally fired locomotives which sometimes come up on eBay etc. However I do not know anyone commercially making internally fired 7mm (O gauge) live steam engines. That said, the LBSC designs for Owl and BAT are readily available and give a step by step guide to making one. And the GOG Live Steam book is also an excellent source. I'm happy to advise if you are interested.
