I remember as a very young kid having a hard time liking sampled music because they “can’t even play their own instruments”. The music always appealed to me, but I thought it was cheating and that people who sampled couldn’t hack it on an instrument. I had no idea the talent and work involved in what I was hearing. Dre and others like him were doing brand new things lightyears ahead of traditional music creation and production.
I am honestly happy to admit how dumb and wrong I was.

I met the guy who played the bass on that joint... I use to have this Thursday set with alot instrumentalists and he broke into that bass line... straight funky!!

Yes we used automation with the Abbey Road Vinyl plugin. Just gotta automate the TONE ARM on the plugin & you get that movement 💪🏾.
