I'm pretty sure Sid Station or some other SID based device/plugin was used to create the lead, any VST that simulates the SID-chip found in the Commodore 64 computers back in the 80's should work to recreate it.

I am not really sure if Timbaland has used a sample for the original production. He may have used a synth as well? Would be interesting to research this.

Will there ever be a Sektor synth 2 that actually can be expanded with additional samples and not just presets? The expansion packs seem to only be programs of the samples already in Sektor's library?

You can already do this…you can also use Heat Up 3 samples

@@montanamaxxamillion You have to own a Heat UP 3 license to use those sounds in Sektor, unless there's a way around it? The expansions made for Sektor, only seem to use the factory samples to make different sounds, not actually include new samples like HUP-3 expansions do.

aslo, the base line note pattern is wrong… you need to hear the original carefully, its really not that hard. i have remade this track 100% exact (synth wise)
