Is there any way of having the eyes of the mask open to help with claustrophobia?

This is nice, first when it was taught in class i couldn't imagine how it is done because i haven't seen one. Now it makes sense to go through my note because i have an idea of how to make the mask. Tnx for the video its helpful.

I’m about to have 5 days treatment, we will be planning it next week. I’m afraid of the mask fitting since I’m claustrophobic.

How did your experience go with the mask?

There are masks that have an opening around the mouth and or eyes. They are intended to help the experience if one has claustrophobia. I wish you luck and blessings in your healing journey

@@networth9151 in all honesty it wasn’t as bad as I expected. The most difficult was when they were making the mold for the mask - one has to be still and it covers face entirely. That seems to take forever as opposed to just 30 mins max. For the actually treatment 28 days, they did give me some pills to help with the anxiety but thankfully meditating and praying during the maybe 5 minutes max each treatment with the help of awesome nurses who were running to me as soon as each treatment was done, truly helped. Of course there were bad days when I wanted to up and quit but one just needs to find a way to relax as the anxiety is truly worse in our minds than in reality. As they said, there’s an opening for the eyes and nose and a little on the lips, so keep that in mind and it’s not as restrictive even if one cannot move.

@@artsyweirdo thank you very much! I was blessed with technicians and nurses who were truly caring during the treatments. That helped a lot.

I get my mask made in a few days. I've got larnyx cancer. 35 treatments. Do not know as yet if I need chemo. Will find that out also.

I'm a 24 year old affected by neck lymphoma. This mask is so suffocating and I can't breathe. So scary for those who have claustrophobia
