Just a little something that I do to help my crank bait, jerk bait or any box with hooks stored inside. I collect all of the little moisture packs that come inside beef jerky bags or shoe boxes and try to put one moisture pack with every bait. This has really helped to keep the rust off everything. You probably already do this but just figured I would pass it on.👍🏻🇺🇸🎣

I use the money bags for bass mafia. Tons of storage. I bought a bunch of them for works, craws/creatures, finesse/drop shot, and swimmers. Best in my opinion.
Not sure these were available when made this video.. bass mafia is always expensive IMO. But if you like them, can afford them and work for you... then that's the best option. Thanks for watching

This gives me soooo much confidence, Craig! About a year ago I went to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and bought craft boxes for $5 each. So organized and I even did a piece of neon tape and a sharpie to label what’s inside! GREAT VIDEO BUDDY!

New subscriber and a casual, multi-species fisherman. I found your page during my search for storage ideas for my soft plastics. I don't have a lot of room for a bunch of boxes, but I like to keep all my tackle onboard to save having to carry-on additional tackle boxes. Thoughts?
Carry all you can until you find yourself unorganized and wasting time digging through boxes you don't need. Your fishing trip should start the day before.. making a plan of attack. Looking at weather patterns, water conditions, barrommetric pressure. Etc. Thanks for watching
The problem I have is I have no storage in my old 85 Ranger 350V. I am going to build a deck extension, but for now, I don't have anywhere to put a bunch of shoeboxes.
Work on downsizing and creating boxes for 1 season.. you never going to need the jerk bait box when the water temps are 80+ in the summer. Never going to use the spinner bait when you fishing a cold front and fish are just laying up in bushes not chasing bait

The plastic shoe box containers don't work well for my compartment layout. I used the deep Plano 3700s single compartment, made dividers for them and leave all my baits in their package in these boxes. Works great. Just another option if your like me and the plastic shoe boxes don't fit well

I use gallon zip locks and leave them n the original package and throw the gallon zip locks in a big duffel bag. Throw it over my shoulder. Makes transport easy

How do I store soft plastics like for example Down South Lures?
If you are talking about the paddle tail company I think.. I haven't seen the packaging they use.. if I had no package I would get Ziploc bags and lay flat in a plastic container like in the video. If some how they are getting crooked you can boil them in hot water for about 2-30 seconds and they will form back to straight.. let me know if this helped.. thanks for asking and I hope to see you again on more videos

So plastics that you have used already, what do you do let them dry out then put them in plastic bags?
You dont have to let em dry out... just hit em with a rag or give em a good shake and back in the pack. Or if their ripped up I cut em to a useable size and trash the rest

Great video as always! You got any opinion on the Plano Z Series wrap bag? Just got one for Fathers Day. Also you can get a ton of little silica packets off amazon for 6 bucks- am thinking about putting that in with the soft plastics to keep the moisture out at least (I already do this with all metal and hard plastic lure boxes).

I have seen those bags but not in person. My 1st thought is looks like it can hold a lot of lures. For a kayak it would save a lot of room. Not sure of the exact design or how organized it will stay.. May be the best bet for a yak though. Those packets will work for a while, you will need 6-10 for a plano box atleast to notice a difference. Anything is worth a shot if your saving a ton of $$$.
