    Thank you so much for sharing your journey with Apollo but also just in general! When you mentioned you used to be Christian I felt so seen, I feel many people don't talk about their old beliefs affecting their current beliefs. It just made me feel so much more at ease and comfortable with the path I have chosen and allowed me to really accept my current beliefs. Thank you for being yourself and sharing your voice! I am so grateful the universe led me to watch your video! I subscribed and I can't wait to see what amazing content you continue to share with us! Sending you so much love & light 🦋🤍✨

    One can work with, or worship, any good Deity, regardless if it's your culture or not. I am involved with Greek, Hindu, Egyptian Gods, and with no problem. The good Gods are not concerned with culture. Thousands of others do the same.

    I wasn't aware until my recent years about the ancestry and for (6) years I worked with a deity who isn't on the same side (quite opposite 😔) with my ancestors, culture and linage. I tried to ignore the slips thinking that, the deity couldn't help me with those situations. Unconsciously I knew the deity was trying to walk me on a different path than what I was supposed to walk. It was a heartbreaking incident when the deity was taking the side of the person who did wrong to me who also was originally belonged to deitiy's culture. The person also who makes money doing bad things. It was the light bulb moment when I realized the deity I worked was not for me. Now I work with deities belonged to my culture and heritage. I know it's sounds crazy but I think my case is a rare case 😅 What I want to say is it's important to listen to your soul's voice because your soul only have best interest for you.

    Thanks so much for the video. I work with Goddess Frøya and i have scandinavian heritage that i never really knew about until family tree sites and blood work. It gave me an understanding of my potential past and ofc my lineage and hinted on what deities to kinda look for. Frøya immediately reached out, sending me imagery of cats and feral/strays on my way home from work. A striking one was this black maine coon with big green eyes. It was such a interesting experience. I always love these little story videos of others worship of the God and Goddess. Blessed be. 💐💛🐚🔮🐈

    Very interesting that your deity changed as you were moving into a different stage of your own triple cycle of womanhood. Shifting from maiden to mother. Mine has done the same when I shifted internally & physiologically from mother to Crone. I never planned on having relationships with deity at all, they just showed up at these key times of shifting. And I totally agree with you about The Morrigan turning up very loudly & pretty full on....also that my work with Her also involved me learning healthy boundaries & all other aspects of personal Sovereignty. She is also the Goddess of my ancestral line.
    Very interesting video thank you for sharing these aspects of your practice

    I can relate to you with being a beginner because I use to be really jealous when I first saw people having better relationships with the deity that I tried working and worshipping back then and I just stopped completely but now I am worshipping them and gotten so much better and honestly this video is so amazing! Keep up the good work and have a amazing day :)

    Yes ,everyone has different relationship with our Deities and we must not compare how the other one treat the other one and the other one ,we must not also compare our experiences because we have all different experiences to the other one . our relationship with them is private and original .
    Thank you .

    I want to work with Aphrodite because recently I've been feeling called by her, but I don't know if she's calling me, or I'm mixing thing's because of the admiration I already had for her and her history, honestly is so confusing and make me afraid of reaching out for her and getting rejected (I just realize I have fear of rejection lol😃)

    • @mei4069
      @mei4069 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You can get in contact with deities in multiple ways. Tarot, pendulum work, candle flame reading, and meditation are the most common ways. Both The Lunar Witch and The Norse Witch have a video on how to communicate with deities. Hopefully this helped :)

    Hello, I want to start working with gods/goddesses within paganism. However I’m not Irish or Greek (from what I know of, I do need to eventually research my background but I haven’t yet)-I’m Italian though. Is it still ok to start looking into this and start working with one of the gods? I’ve taken interest to research paganism. But I want to explore the interest and why I’m having the interest. I just want to check if that is okay to research and start working with a diety. I’ve taken interest to Apollo-I think part of it might be for emotional healing. Is that ok? Could I get some tips as I’m just starting to look into paganism and how it works but I think I feel something and I’m not 100% sure what it is.

      Stay to your heritage. She said it in the video. Don't touch deitires that are out of your culture.

    • @unassumingcorvid9639
      @unassumingcorvid9639 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Historically the Romans (Who occupied current day Italy) also worshiped the Greek gods, even adopting some Greek gods as their own, so if you’re worried about heritage I think you’re fine. You might also look at Roman counterparts to the Greek gods. That said, the Greek pantheon is considered open practice regardless.

    On a cosmic, energetic level doesn't everything belong to everyone?

    • @Thewoodlandwitch
      @Thewoodlandwitch  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not necessarily. Especially coming from a cultural aspect. There are practices and beliefs that are very specific to certain cultures that are also often considered closed practices meaning not just anyone can pick it up and appropriate it as they see fit. There are Deities who are part of those cultures that people of those communities have very openly stated are closed.

      @@Thewoodlandwitch I see. I am literally on day 3 of (deliberate) goddess work and worship. One of my biggest fears of starting this journey has been disrespecting a god or goddess (or custom) out of ignorance. I have so much to learn! However, I am following where I feel called, and am doing a Lilith meditation at night and Hekate meditation in the morning, and that feels right for me. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and clarify!

    • @Thewoodlandwitch
      @Thewoodlandwitch  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jamikatechaos9972 absolutely any time!! I was totally worried about the same at first. For me it stemmed mostly from my Christian upbringing and the fear of “going to hell” or making a mistake and disappointing God. In my work over the years I have found they are two very different forms of worship and belief. Are the old Gods/Goddesses stern? Yes. Do they want respect? Yes. But they are also very understanding for the most part. Like I said that’s just my personal experience! Sometimes they get loud with me and put me in check but nothing fearful at all.

    I think it's a bit crass to say that you should "ONLY" work with deities that are "Apart of your culture"... Especially with people in America who have no idea what their heritage is half the time. You're basically cutting them off from deity work/worship because they don't know if they should be nordic/celtic/hindu/whatever because none of them know their lineages.
    But I think you should work with whatever God you want to. Just like you can go through your own social life and be friends with whoever you want without someone else telling you who or what to be friends with I think Gods have the right to do the same.
    Now OBVIOUSLY on the flip side- don't go around and be a twat and culturally appropriate this pantheon because you can. That's all the bad things it is plus totally rude to the Gods by assuming you can just "waltz in" and claim whatever you want because you 'can'.

    • @Thewoodlandwitch
      @Thewoodlandwitch  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I absolutely agree with you! I think working with Deities specific to my own heritage and practice was a personal choice. Especially being from America, and having so many different cultures make up my DNA it was important for me to not just cherry pick what I liked from each. This video was filmed a year ago, and I have definitely grown as I’ve discovered new information as well. It is not my intention to step on anyone’s toes, or tell them what they can and can’t do within their own personal craft. Like you said, I do believe it is important to not just waltz in claiming X, Y, and Z. I think there is a level of respect that is needed when embarking on the journey of Deity work and worship.

  • @editverseart

    genuine question. can you work with deities without an alter? i’m a beginner in just learning about all of this so i don’t wanna take it in wrong info in the learning process🫶🏻

    • @Thewoodlandwitch
      @Thewoodlandwitch  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Absolutely. Something as simple as a prayer of gratitude or pouring a glass of water for them is enough! They just want effort. As time goes on they may ask or you may feel called to do something more significant, such as setting a space for them but it’s not a requirement!
