I know that Libarandus are generally not so smart but it doesn't take a lot of braincells to understand how stupid this index is. The ranking of a nation is decided by conducting a survey of approximately 2000 people by some US media and the UN takes this and makes this ranking. It's said by the UN themselves you can also verify. 2000 people is not even half a percentage of India's population. Israel is ranked No.4 when there is protest going on against the government and constant terror attacks going on. Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Sri Lanka are also above India. Russia ranks higher than India even though it's the most sanctioned country on the planet, Ukraine is happier than India during the war, Sri Lanka is happier than India during economic crises, Pakistan is happier than India during Political, economic crises.

You clearly have no idea how cencus reports work and how data science works. I suggest you to study about these topics before forming an opinion that the reports are not accurate and laughing about it
Where as you yourself are ill-informed and less knowledgable. Data science is a vast feild and people spend years studying before they analyze a cencus data. There's a very complicated and technical procedure involved as to how the reports works and how they are exceptionaly accurate.There are so many articles about why Ukraine and Pakistan are rated higher in happiness index,with proof and scientific theories, and data but you didn't think of actually researching about those articles and studying about it, you had to form a baseless opinion by closing your eyes and feeding on to the propoganda in our country that decourages self introspection and criticism and believes that every scientific research is wrong instead of accepting a problem in our system. India is a great country and every nation can have problems but if we won't acknowledge them and deny them they'll never be solved. Well, I am not a BJP fan, but everyone must admit that, the official report of this index has clearly mentioned that the sample size was 2000-3000 people. I don't think this should be called as a survey, it was may be feast or party or something. For an important index like hapiness index the survey size should be 20,000+. 2000-3000 people representing India's happiness index, It's not so cool, we have freaking 1.3 Billion people
Maybe they took samples from various different places?
Suppose they took 100 people per region, they would still cover 30 different regions of the nation with it.
Even from those hundred 25 could have been taken data from people with different incomes. 25 per income level.

But still 200 people can't really descirbe the happiness index of a whole state, I am from odisha, and here in odisha people re very happy, but if someone asks the farmers, they are of course not happy. What if they take a sample BPL or close to BPL people, then the reviews will be very negative.

In ukraine only on frontline the conflict is going on. The conflict had been there since 2014 . In other parts life just goes on. No aerial strikes and people go about normally to schools etc. And the frontline is solid

How many people show altruistic behaviour? (Not a lot in urban areas, and a portion of that is restricted to same religion or same caste.) Alturustic behaviour means behaviour helping the well being of others.
State effectivness: Yeah our state goverments focus on divide instead of carrying out their basic duties and helping the state economy. Thus a lack of public trust.

You clearly have no idea how cencus reports work and how data science works. I suggest you to study about these topics before forming an opinion that the reports are not accurate and laughing about it
Where as you yourself are ill-informed and less knowledgable. Data science is a vast feild and people spend years studying before they analyze a cencus data. There's a very complicated and technical procedure involved as to how the reports works and how they are exceptionaly accurate.There are so many articles about why Ukraine and Pakistan are rated higher in happiness index,with proof and scientific theories, and data but you didn't think of actually researching about those articles and studying about it, you had to form a baseless opinion by closing your eyes and feeding on to the propoganda in our country that decourages self introspection and criticism and believes that every scientific research is wrong instead of accepting a problem in our system. India is a great country and every nation can have problems but if we won't acknowledge them and deny them they'll never be solved.
