Surprised to hear you think 1.35 is low for 7 Wonders Architects. Our whole family loves it and it’s been one of the few non-kids-only games that our 5 year old can mostly get.

Draftosaurus is criminally underrated. I just gave it away as a Christmas present to three different people at work, yesterday. These lists are great, but I just wanted to show love for Draftosaurus, it works for kids, adults, or a mixture. Thanks boys.

I wasn't sure how many of these games I would have or even know, but I was surprised to see that the last 2 years mostly working on adding games in this category to my collection has resulted in me having a bunch of these 20. I have to check out New York Zoo for sure, that's the only one of these I'm not very familiar with.
I think you hit almost all of the games I would've listed. Potion Explosion is one exception. Micromacro crime city is another that works really well with kids. Scout and Project L are both great for being able to be played with anyone. I like those as gateway games for family situations in general if I want to show people that haven't played modern board games something that they aren't expecting.

Yes, JT, 7 Wonders Architects is a great family game. The Medals exp. Is a must have imho.
For sale, Splendor Marvel, Stone age and Carcassonne are other games we played and still play from when the kids were 8yo up until today.

Nice lists again, thanks! But oh boy, you, JT, really have a mission impossible to keep Sam in line in these game choices! 😅 Those were not the first ones in my mind when thinking family games, but on the other hand those are still good choices if you want to choose something different than usually are recommended. 😀👍 I really like New York Zoo, it's a good solo game also, but hard to win so. I think Jamaica could be a good choice, too. 😊

Parks is good. For track movement/worker placement games, I prefer Tokaido as I'm not a big fan of nature themed games and like the art in Tokaido. However, Parks has the advantage of a modular track for variability and the production quality of the components is excellent. Unfortunately, the otherwise fantastic organizer in Parks won't work for you if you sleeve the cards. Either should work for a family weight game so pick the one with the theme that appeals to you.

Love Letter is also great for families. My niece loves it! Somehow, it never makes any of Sam's top 10 lists. 😉
