Hey. I'm considering taking up the lyre. The one thing in confused about is if it's possible to play accidental notes on it or if you're fixed in the limitations of the key the lyre is tuned in. I can hear that you're playing this in the original key. Did you simply just sharpen the C and F with the peg key or is there a technique to sharpen those without changing the key of the lyre? Thanks
As far as I know, you have to tune up or down with your tuning peg for sharps and flats for this kind of lyre. You can get chromatic lyres but they are much more expensive and I suppose much more difficult to learn for a beginner as there are many more strings.
Joy, can you lead me to where you got your sheet music for this? On kalimba I can read the tabs but for lyre I prefer sheet music. I bought one but it is different than your version. I’d love to go purchase the original music.

I think unless you're playing a full harp, there are no accidentals on lyres, unless you find some obscure one that has a chromatic scale.
