All Good Tips. I have been Foiling for 8 years. Here's my Tips. 1. Put pressure on your Big Front Toe, 2. When getting up as soon as you feel pressure from the boat turn the board towards the direction you are going. 3. To control height of board when foiling move your shoulder 1 inch forward to lower the board or 1 inch back to raise the board. 4. Wear an Impact Vest and Helmet

Love this video. I tried foiling last summer and it was pretty rough. There isn't much for shops where I live. What kind of wings do you recommend I get for foiling behind our wake boat, and kids like surfing so they would like to surf on second wave like you describe.

Great advice! Got my foil board right at the end of this season, so I got about two weekends out of it. Initially it took about 10 tries before I finally got up, but then it became pretty natural. I was struggling with letting go of the rope though as I would have slack in the line like at @3:41 but when I let go I would lose momentum and trying to pump got me maybe another 20 feet more before falling.
I’m curious if I use straps if that will help? I’ve been a bit nervous to use them because of two reasons: 1. When I fall off this thing I want my body falling away from that foil and the board to not come darting back at me, and 2. I don’t want straps to become something I rely on. Any advice? 😅

with al the forward lean it seems to me it would be more like snow boarding. I am just guessing but all the things you descibe about how to turn seems inline with it. Great now I need to buy a foil.
