    I'm not a specialist, but it took me a while to understand how to take care of my plants. I start having them to help me get over my depression. In the beginning, I felt frustrated because it looked like I was killing all of them. But then I realized we should notice the minimal changes on the leaves texture or soil. You are so right...there isn't any rule on when to water your plants, you just have to know/feel the leaves changes.
