This is one reason why I always hand the server the tip in cash on their hands this way there is no risk of someone else taking their tip off the table. I don’t add it to the bill.

I am propane employees a reasonable hourly wage and no tipping , besides this tipping crap has gotten way way way way way out of control. As for the scenario put forth in this video, it's at the end of the video where she was told to go back to work that the manager would have been told to take the job and shove it where the sun doesn't shine along with her pet. And I would have walked off there are other jobs out there to be had that one would not have to put up with the likes of either the manager or the thieving little Beach management attitude towards is, there are more employees where you came from, and it's High time the same be said for employers.

People that work tip jobs baffle me so much. I have worked in the industry and I find it nonsensical.
Like, you're all about working hard for the money but you're willing to just... leave it on a table??? In public? I've seen tips get stolen by patrons.
You go on about how it's so much better than wage jobs but then when it's time to file taxes all of the sudden it's "I barely make anything". Nothing shady going on here people, just pulling yourself up by the bootstraps I guess? They're already passing your wages off on the customer, why NOT pass off your income taxes too?
And then you're like "I deserve an extra 20% because I brought it to you" when there's the people that made it and the people that washed the dishes doing all the actual work? But then when it's time for the ACTUAL FOOD, you send a runner that also isn't getting tipped??????
I haven't eaten in a sit-down restaurant in over a decade and have no intention of breaking that trend until tipping custom is abolished.

Most restaurants that I know of have servers split their tips with all the back end employees.
