Nice job! Top tip from me: cover all gaskets with fresh compressor oil and you will remove them on a next maintenance/service as one piece. No scraping required 😀
We usually coat them with a small amount of anti seize and oil mixture. It's great to see that we are not the only ones that do this. This is the first time opening this compressor for us. But like you said it will make the next time a lot easier to remove the gaskets. Thanks for you technical comments. I would love to hear any more ideas you might have.
Thanks Daniel good video ! Busy season for you ! As per my doctor permanent disability for me 35lb weight limit. I m doing better some side work residential . I'm not done forever! If I gotta go inhouse Iwill.
Dang Man! I hope things go better for you. Yeah really busy and can't wait to launch more vids. I would have to say in house would be the ticket. Good luck with your recovery and finding that inhouse dream job.
The compressor is 12 years old. But this is the first time I've worked on it. They do have much older compressors and soon they will be inspected as well. Yes it took us both all day to perform.
Good job guys 🎉

@@alliancetechnh3368 we just use Lucas red and tacky. Gaskets peel right off. They look almost new
I used to use white lithium grease on all gaskets. They would pop right off next service.
When you dropping that crack I need it lol! You got me rewatching videos.
Lol
Soon.
Great video Daniel, looking forward to next video keep up the great content.

Excelent!!
Hope you show the tubing connections of unloaders for 446 Vilter, thank you
Very interesting fellas and very informative as well. Thank you guys.
Hell yeah man. Thanks for sharing.
How old was the compressor? Is this maintenance done annually? I'm assuming it was a full day for two people to perform?

They’ve been making those compressors for a long long time. I used to see a lot of 12 cylinder Vilter compressors in ice rinks.
I suggest - kill the music and explain what’s you are doing.
There is a feature in the app I used to make videos and it allowed me to do a voice over so I don't have to yell over a loud background.
Thanks. Lol
@@alliancetechnh3368 wish I could help. This looked like fun.
