Welcome back Emily ! You look lovely.
I’m so glad you’re feeling uplifted and i hope you don’t encounter anymore stress .
About keeping a train of thought and not forgetting things during the day, i once read that if you recite what you did the whole day before going to bed ( like telling a story to yourself) every day, it helps a lot with memory !
I hope this helps in some way :)

Life for people with a "Schizo-effective"disorder,is such an up hill battle, and unless you've gone through it,you really cant understand what it's like.I was on "Lorazapam" for several years, and I had to be taken off it,because it was damaging my brain(I kept forgetting where I was or what I was doing).I was just recently discharged from the hospital (For paranoid delusions and voices).I was put on a higher dose of "Risperidone"and I'm starting to feel better.I don't really hear voices anymore (witch is wonderful).Thank you for sharing your struggles with "Schizophrenia" Emily. You are giving a lot of us hope. Please don't stop sharing.:)

Emily, I just found your video's this morning. Needless to say I watched the others first. You look so much better now and much more clear and confident. You have the maturity of a woman twice your age, and the bravery that surpasses most men to be able to sit there and talk about your problems with all honesty. You have really opened my eyes in a subject I knew nothing about. I for one hope you continue with more of these videos I am sure you have helped others in the same condition and educated those that did not know. I personally wonder how many parents, brothers, sisters have come across these vids and watched them and gained insight into what was happening to a member of the own family. You are and amazing woman Emily, I wish you all the best.

I can so empathize with you since I've experienced a lot of the same things.
Looking back , every time I had an episode was when I wasn't being heard or believed.
I was once taken to the hospital by police after I caught my abusive , now ex , fiancè.
There should have been a crisis worker there but they were " on call " , but after waiting over 4 hours by myself and no crisis worker , I walked out and all the way home .
I could have hurt myself or others but didn't admit I would .
Then my first psychiatric hospital stay , I was responsible and admitted myself .
I didn't want to be there but knew I would be helped . It was only two weeks , but when I got home It felt weird like I wanted back in the hospital cause it felt safer .
    Bless you Emily 😇

It is really bizarre that you say this. I am only 17, but I also had admitted myself to a psychiatric hospital, which only lasted two weeks. I also could have hurt others, to some degree, I still do want to hurt people. Nonetheless, when I left out I wanted to go back(still do), I really liked being there, something about being there really stuck with me. I guess it feels ok, knowing someone else has felt the same way.

You look and sound much more together! Amazing. I have heard that in different societies, people with the symptoms described as schizophrenia are viewed differently. Generally in the west, it is viewed as craziness, and the voices are generally negative. There are some cultures though where these symptoms are thought of as a special type of gift, and it is more common that the voices are positive. People who have these symptoms are sent to who we generally think of as a Shaman or something like that who knows how to help integrate these experiences into life in a healthy way. You have probably come across this type of material on your searches on google, but in case you haven’t, I just wanted to bring it up... So wow, considering the experiences you have had, I’m no expert, but I find it incredible to see you so healthy and lucid. You must have a very strong spirit. Your art is fantastic. You just seem like an absolutely brilliant human being, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see you have an extraordinary life making wonderful art or doing whatever your passion is. So happy to see you bright.

I know someone who got better as they got into their 20's as their brain finished developing. they still hear and see things sometimes but only when they are really stressed out and they can make ignore it untill it goes away. thank you for sharing. you sound very coherent to me and are conveying your thoughts very clearly. take care.

Wow... I just checked your first video out, and comparing to this one you've come a long way. You seem very confident, and more open and fluid in the way you talk. It's almost like opening up about this on TH-cam has taken a weight off your shoulders. Maybe the change in medication was a massive factor too.
I know you're still suffering, and I hope your road to recovery from this point on is short and easy. I'm not schizophrenic myself, so I could never truly imagine what you're going through.

Edit: you have strong expressions, through your art and through your talking in the videos. You dont need necessarily a objective to the videos cause your expression says it all. Beautiful human being you are!!! Beautiful soul (if that is a real thing).

Welcome back! Glad to see you post again! I can relate with a LOT of what you talk about. Also, you're very smart and well-spoken, and I really like how you talk about these topics.
That's great you went to the hospital when you needed more support, I've been helped by the system many times and really believe the hospital can be the right place to go to stay safe, because safety is most important. Glad you're doing better now. Yay new art!
Have you ever heard/read about dissociation, and emotional flashbacks? I get that senses heightened stuff you described during emotional flashbacks, and dissociation can happen along with stress and psychosis and lead to some of these feelings.
I hope you don't mind me commenting if you don't want input... but I'm glad to hear you're off meds rn. Honestly, meds aren't what they're chalked up to be. I say this because I took many different meds for many years, and stopping psych meds was the best decision I ever made. Although I still have psychosis at times, I had it on meds anyway and I feel so much better off them. Off them for 5 years now and doing well. Emotional support from other people has helped me so much more. And, Incidentally, there's a ton of great vids on here about psychiatry being pseudoscience. But if they help you then whatever works for you is what's best!!
Stay strong and keep being awesome!

I was so happy when you found the word "hightened" :3
On that note (and what you talked about in the video), you definitely speak more clearely and consistently, you seem to lose track of your thoughts way less and you seem to not give up on recalling your thoughts when you do forget. Your voice is fuller and more vibrant, and its great to see you giggle, i felt physical warmth spread trough my chest at some points with how glad I was for you :)

It's good that you feel in better control and are feeling more joyful. You have an amazing insight and acceptance of your illness. You express yourself and your experiences very clearly. This must be very helpful in getting the help you need. And with any mental illness that is a huge challenge. I think you are helping educating people about schizophrenia. You are very brave to make these videos. You tell your story intelligently and honestly. Take the support and prayers people are sharing with you here. Just be mindful of the few people who are cruel or "too affectionate". They are just "Trolls" that bother all you tubers. Delete the comments, block them, then just focus on the good people who are offering you support. All the best to you on your complicated journey. You have much good to bring to this world. Hold onto your Joy!

You're very brave as any schizophrenic person is. It takes lot of courage handling what is happening in your mind every day. And I thank you because you and other schizophrenic people try to share things about this condition of the mind so we can understand it. I have an aunt with schizophrenia. She never talks about it and I think it isn't helpful for her. I think it's the society's fault. Now it's different. I mean in our era. She is over 60 years old anyway. Though, she got married. She got two kids (no of them have schizophrenia). She is a smiley and a kind peson when you talk to her but when she's just being alone you can see the despair and the lonliness in her eyes. And as I said that takes lot of courage! I talked about her for sharing my experiances with this mind's condition.

You are a champion for doing these videos. Continue to meet with and access professionals around you and keep people you love in the loop on what you are doing with your meds as they are the ones who can alert you if things are changing. Your journey is a challenging one so keep your head held high and just know you are not alone. Hats off to you!

Thank you for making these videos. I had my first mental health ward experience. It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, though I know they're all different from each other. I hope you keep talking things through. The content you're making is really helpful.

I've been recently diagnosed with schizoaffective! I've been checking into other things besides medication that actually increase dopamine receptors and dopamine in the brain. And most of the schizophrenics that I have been checking out on TH-cam, generally seem to be artistic. I see that is a good thing because one of the main points about building more dopamine receptors in the brain is being creative! So I would suggest continuing with the art as much as you can and being as creative as you can along with other holistic health things to keep your brain Sharp.
I would also like to propose an idea for future videos. Maybe you could do some videos of you in the process of painting or doing art so that we could get a better idea of what's your like while you're painting or being creative. From what I have seen of your work you're pretty good! And I would like to see more of it , and if I had more money I would buy some of them.

What a recovery you've shown! I almost can't believe how assured you sound off your medication, may i just say how amazing your art is, i highly recommend you utilise ur art as an outlet for expressing these aspects of urself, as im sure you know it can be very rewarding and cathartic. whether you choose to continue ur meds, youtube or art, i'm keen to see the next stage in your progression! :) Peace and Prosperity

I've been sectioned twice. Both times were hell. Second time I was there, I actually got worse during the 6 weeks. So when I got out, I was more messed up than before. This is Finland's mental health care for you.
    Oh, I'm a paranoid schizophrenic.

Dude, just found your channel. So feeling your sense of self and intuition about what is best for you; sleep is so so important, I think you should follow your gut on being concerned about that (and not being concerned about being off meds). Keep doing you! Also that orange slice is fucking awesome wow

Can relate to a lot of what youre saying here. Ive been sectioned before and was forced on aripiprazole for a while. Terrible stuff. Felt like being locked in as an observer to my own life. I hope youre doing well now and youve found ways to manage your mind.

Careful, sweetheart, with not taking your meds, please. My friend Logan gets uncomfortable with the meds. He feels like he’s not comfortable his own skin, and anxious every now and then and it’s his meds. He stops taking them for a bit, he says he just puts up with the eyes and shadows, but feels better. I just fear that he’s endangering himself to having a bad episode. Be patient, I know it seems like a constant battle with the meds, but they’ll keep you well. Just involve the professionals when adjustihg any dose. Logan said recently when someone asked him if he thinks he knows what brought it on, and he said stress, as well. I’m not on ant social media ( besides here) it would be an honor to communicate with you. I love your orange. You’re doing a great job informing people!!!

jerry am schizophrenic too, those antipsychotics has strong side effects and I know what feels this young girl, you're against the wall or you have a bloody psychotic outbreak that lasts for weeks or even months without taking those medications or you have to endure those side effects
you are between the sword and the wall (cornered without a third way) or you have a damn psychotic outbreak that last weeks or even months without taking those medications or you have to endure those side effects.
The difference with Emily and me I suffer another desease at birth drug -resistant epilepsy my seizures looks similar as Anneliese Mitchel s seizures. My neuropsychriatrists and neurologists
they predicted me a silent disease Persistent depressive disorder, another disease that I have to carry on my back...
