Interesting, I had no idea that retinoids can damage skin in the long term. I always thought that once your skin has acclimatised to them, it's beneficial to use them often and indefinitely as they stimulate cell renewal and collagen growth. I guess it's a bit like fruit and some vegetables being good for you because of all the vitamins, but also bad for you because of the sugar content!
I’ve damaged my skin barrier and I’m not noticing much of a difference using gentle products, for the last few days I’ve just been using water at night times to wash my face, should this work to let my skin heal? 😭
