I'm glad you did this yourself. I have seen so many cars that have gone into get wrapped and end up with broken bumper clips and cuts on the paint because of unprofessionals. I think liquid wrap is the way to go.

Thanks! I’m a very impatient person but with so much Sun light in one day and the cold weather, I had to work fast on that day. I think I was spraying in 50 degree weather in Massachusetts that day. Not that good for dip but it still turned out great.

Military green would be sick. This orange job only cost me about $300-$400 for materials and dip. I already had the dipyourcar spraygun and compressor from last years dip job. You can buy the whole spray kit and dip for about $800.

The only part which I think wasn't right was the mixing. Mixing like that would end up with orange peels because you're adding air to the paint if i'm not wrong.
It’s been a while so I’m not sure what “plus kit” is. I think I bought the pro kit. All the dip, topcoat, and pearls is my own recipe and amount used to get coverage on my car. Yes, you NEED the aftercare spray. After every wash, spraying and wiping it on makes the dip super slick and it’s almost like putting lotion on your skin after a shower. The car just feels and looks sooooo much better and refreshed.
My Merc is white and I'd LOVE to Dip it. But the issue of seeing white door jams and white paint under the hood and trunk bothers me. Does anyone dip those painted surfaces? I also live in Massachusetts. Thank you in advance for your advice.

To my knwloedge, some (rare) places dip everything but I really don’t think those parts are durable enough to hold the dip over time from constant opening and closing. If you really want it color changed, vinyl wrap is probably your best bet but we are talking like 5x more money. Unless a shop vinyl wraps those parts and then you get the rest of the car dipped to match.
It works for me. LOL. I'm more concerned with door sills and places that a very visible when a door is opened, not necessarily hinges and latches. Thank you for replying.
