Flexx Alexander I searched through the comments and couldn’t find an answer I have a 2008 c300 4matic sport and was looking to do something similar and can’t find anything especially because I live in MA the Laws here are strict as you know. Everything I’ve found was just straight piping it which we can’t do.
Hey guys, to anyone thinking about doing this to their car, I 100% recommend it! At first I was a bit worried and skeptical about it, but flexx helped me throughout the whole thing, helped me what parts to pick, gave me estimates for me to have the idea on how much I was gonna spend, etc. And overall I decided to do it and I couldn’t be happier! Hey man, I’m curious how you think this setup would sound on a w204 c300 sedan? I’m mainly worried about drone, i know you said it was minimal to none. But with a 6cyl maybe that would change? I have no clue.

Question?… I had my c300 w204 straight piped straight to the headers. It sounded so good. It was loud, sounded mean and tough and would crackle💥& pop…. But I would stall out when I would be at a complete stop for a while. I would have to be playing with the shift knob. I would just keep tapping it left & right as if it was a standard transmission car but it was an automatic.
Also sometimes as I was slowing down to a stop after not stopping for a while I would start stalling out. I would feel the gears and have to use my breaks and apply gas as if I was paddle shifting or using a standard transmission
If you deleted your catalytic converters and didn't take care of the codes or add any resistors or anything than your car definitely won't be happy.

How did you get the second set of pipes on the other side when the bumper has took for only one? Was it a cutout or did you replace bumper?

So I went to this locally renowned exhaust tuning shop recently and they recommended and gave me an estimate for a custom y-pipe setup leading to 2 11225 magnaflow mufflers and then the tips. What are your opinions on this? Btw the quote they gave me is over priced to around $1000.

I like the looks of the round dual exhaust tip that you got over the oval shape. What did you have to do to make it fit properly since you said there was a metal box in the way?
Not sure. It’s not perfect on the right. The tips slightly point to the right instead of straight back because the middle inlet is hittin the box area. If you have an offset inlet, aligning the tips is easy and it will point straight back.
Hey Flex! Quick question, I have a C250 and I want to get this done but I wanted to ask if you had to buy the piping that runs from the magna flow muffler to the quad tips separately or did the shop just pipe it for you, if so about how much did each pipe cost? thanks!
no, exhausts shops do that. Its part of their price to install the muffler and tips. Usually $200-$400 depending on the shop and if you go aluminum or stainless steel.

what year is your car ? i have a 2014 c250
Hey man, In the video where you said the quad tips should be the offset one, I didn’t order that and instead got some symmetrical quad tips. Will they still work on my c250 and can I just have them stick out a bit more?(yes I have the c63 diffuser installed as well and have a super 10 flow master waiting to be put on)
symmetrical should be fine. That's what's on my C250.
Offset ones are ideal and easier to work with but the symmetrical can still be fitted.

Ngl this video just helped me decide to not touch the exhaust on this car this car just sounds quiet no matter what
It will never sound "loud" but it can be louder than stock and have a better tone then stock. Still worth it to me and others but it's your car at the end of the day if you want to keep it stock.

Hi i was wondering if you had to run different diameter piping? I see that the outlets for the muffler have a diameter of 2 inches but the inlet for the tips you linked are 2.5 inches. Did they have to modify the piping for it or use clamps to them together? Thanks so much, ive started modding my c class because of your vids!
The shop will make it all work because they supply the piping to connect everything. It’s up the to shop on pipe size. Nobody uses clamps on a custom exhaust like this. Everything is welded.
Hey Flex! Quick question, when you were getting all of the stock piping removed in order to install the new muffler and everything what type of shop did you take the car too when you where going to get all the stock stuff removed below the cat
The same muffler shop I always go to in my exhaust videos. Lou’s in Chelmsford ma.

Don’t know. We don’t have a c200 in the US, so I have no clue how that car works or it’s parts to modify.

Usually yo get sound out of a diesel you need to do a dpf delete, which also gives you a light that needs to be mapped out but will make the car sound amazing for a diesel

Is this the diesel c250? For it being a bit black smoky under wot? also for the single exhaust tip? Eitherway super nice setup, they look clean, the diffuser bought where?
This is then regular gasoline c250 coupe. It does get black on the tips but washes right off. I bought the diffuser on eBay. $70-$80. It's in my diffuser install video.
Do you think I would be able to keep the secondary resonator (to have it a bit quieter) and then run the magnaflow muffler instead of stock resonator to the Quads?
I was thinking about doing the same, did you keep the second res? How's the sound?
So I have a 2013C350 I am upgrading to quad exhaust. The exhaust that you recommend is it just one muffler or do I buy two?and I apologize this sounds like a dumb question but honestly I'm not mechanically inclined so I before I order it I want to make sure I order what I need. If you don't mind answering this question I really appreciate it
A c350 already has 2 pipes and 2 mufflers. All you need to do is get 2 (single inlet to single outlet) mufflers....buy a set of quad tips, and make sure you buy a diffuser that will have openings large enough to fit the new quad tips. I would suggest your take your car to an exhaust shop and talk to them and tell them what I said above and get their input.

Recommend going with single inlet to single outlet and then doing a y pipe after to get the back pressure like stock but still being able to run quads
That’s another option but too be honest, it doesn’t really matter in the c250. Exhaust setup (regardless what it is) is not gonna effect the performance that much. The c250 is slow already but it looks damn good! Lol

I didn't mention them because you dont buy them. Any muffler shop will run those for you. That's why it's called a custom exhaust setup.

Is the link in the description still correct? the exhaust tips have a 2.5” inlet and the muffler has 2” outlets.

Nothing. Just maneuvered until it looks somewhat decent but it’s not perfectly straight.
Hey for ur quad tip magnaflow muffler set up? Did u do anything else to make it louder besides take out the resonators? I got the magnaflow muffler and quad tips installed but it seems a lot quieter than urs in the video

Looking for a muffler that makes noise when I hit the gas. I don't want any noise while it warms up and sits in driveway. I want to keep the classic feel to the car then when I press gas I want it to roar....any suggestions?
Not possible unless you get a valve system that you can press a button and when you want it to roar.

Are there any different between the c250 coupe 2doors and the c250 4 doors in ( front bumper, back bumper, Diffuser, and the hood) are the the same size and can I install the parts from the 4 doors to th coupe??
Most is the same except trunk, wing, seats, door panels. You can interchange grille, front bumper, rear bumper, wheels, headlights, taillights.
I’m not 100% sure if the hoods are the same.

Hi when doing the mounting were the exhaust hangers already there on the none original exhaust side or did they have to fit them?

What pipes did you use for after the muffler to make it a dual?
You don’t buy pipes. The exhaust shop has them and custom cuts and installs them. That’s what exhaust shops do.
whats the over all length of the new pipes once fitted(from the cat)?
Don’t know. That’s custom done by the shop. I don’t own this car anymore for years.

That’s how I first had it setup. Wasn’t that loud and it wasn’t throaty. It was kinda single note and “meh”.

Yes. You need a diffuser that has openings wide enough to support quad tips. Check out my other videos on a diffuser install.

My Magnaflow 13148 just got delivered today, will be putting it up shortly.
But taking a look at the muffler, there is no actual logo or branding on the muffler itself, but it did come in manufacture box and all the papers with it.
Does your 13148 has branding or logo on the muffler itself? Or this is how the 13148 looks like? If possible could you also provide a picture of your 13148? I wanted to make sure that the genuine Magnaflow was sent to me. Usually I have seen all the magnaflow muffler with magnaflow branding on top.
You’re not alone. That’s how they come. I’ve had numerous people ask me the same question. After the install, they were definitely happy and didn’t care if the logo was on the muffler or not.

It clears it if you have the tips stick out more from the diffuser. I didn’t do that though. Mine are just slightly, very slightly crooked to the right.
Does the size of the quad tips have to match the inlet and outlet of muffler?
No. You want the inlet of the tips to be the same or slightly larger then the piping it’s going on. Any good exhaust shop can make it work.
Does this swap change the emissions? Will it pass an inspection?

Nahh. They aren’t dipped. They came matte black from Sparco. I’m planning to spray them gloss black once I mount my summer tires in a few weeks.

Any suggestions of what to do with exhaust on the 3.5L v6 for a 2014 c300?
Most people i know delete the resonators, then they do an X pipe and replace the mufflers with aftermarket mufflers like Magnaflows. Sounds pretty aggressive.

it's a standard C63 AMG diffuser. Sells for like $150-$200 I think on ebay. Just search for "W204 C-Class AMG Style Rear Bumper Diffuser"

Most fit 2012 to 2014.
yes...as long as the C250 is the same looking as mine. Because in 2015 they had the W204 and the W205 c-clas platform. The 2012-2015ish C250 coupe are W204 so it will fit.

what did you do to the turbo to make it sound louder
My turbo is not louder. Turbo sounds don’t get louder but you can get an intake and blow off valve and that will give the car a unique sound. I already did videos on these on my TH-cam channel.
I had to keep my resonater on because the shop I went to said it was against the law to remove it I live in Texas btw is it gonna make a difference in sound?
Yes it definitely makes a difference in sound

can this be done by not having to add quad tips+diffuser? where it would only have the stock one tip, stock diffuser, and that muffler welded. or are those 2 neccessary?
Yup. Just buy the version of the muffler with single inlet and single out and do the same thing to my diagram but have a single pipe run to the oem diffuser opening and have the shop weld on the stock tip or a new tip.

Don’t know. Just send a message to magnaflow and tell them my part and ask them for the same muffler but single to single. They’ll tell you so there’s no guessing game.

On the c250 you think you could do a resonator delete and add an x pipe and do quad tip exhaust
You can’t do an X pipe since there’s only 1 tube coming from the engine. You can only do an X pipe on a c300 that has dual pipes running from the engine.

Yeh. You can. If you watch the video, I don’t need a Y pipe because my muffler has 2 outlet holes already but if you don’t wanna use the same muffler, you will need a Y pipe to split the single tube in order to route the pipes to a pair of exhaust tips.
