What beaches are you running on? You said dunes, so I am guessing out west? Here in NC, the outer banks are awfully flat.
Nice job, bro. I installed old school vents from a LeBaron on mine. Don't it just break your heart to cut into a good hood? Lol. I had problems with TPS sensor and water damage, so I took the rubber distributor cover off the old style 5.0 mustangs and wrapped it over and around the throttle body and sensor. A little bit of trimming and some zip ties and it works killer. Consider that if you're on the beach alot. Happy wheeling.

I did this to my XJ and added a small electric fan to one of the vents to blow out the hot air.

Jeeps never had any over heating issues.. the temps before and after pretty much the same. But, the vents definitely let the heat out, faster cooldowns , less heat soak.
@@Donnythelatemodeltech ok, but tour Jeep have a graduated temp gauge. What Is the recorded engine temp in your gauge before and after? Thanks ;)
@@caicaz it should always reach 210 no matter what you do. That the optimal temperature
Makes a noticable difference if you're creeping along with doors off, there's a huge cloud of heat from the tranny that pools up into the cab, louvers alleviate it somewhat
Hey, did it actually help keep engine temp down? Be honest because I seriously need the battle heat soak cause Texas has 100 degree weather all summer and I need a solution?
I've never had an issue with engine tips before . So... running a fan controller and the vents didn't hurt.
Along with hood louvers i was wondering if any one has run fans i was thinking of running a heater core under one for extra cooling
I got a 14" fan in my cowl hood i built runs great
Does the bolts and stuff come with the louvers or is it just the louvers by itself

I would have used spray paint, just some tape to hold it then paint the outline, since it is on the bottom nobody should really see it
