I bartended for over 12 years… and anytime I’ve been approached about someone going out of their way to request “young, pretty, well kept” staff or bartenders… without fail, the client ends up being creepy by the end of the night.
And before anyone comes at me.. I know this comment section well 😂 besides bartending in bars, over the 12 years + the events I still do.. I’ve bartended over 900 private events.. birthdays, weddings, bachelor parties, etc. I’m telling ya, they ALWAYS end up creepy.

@@Neenaross214 hey, everyone has their reasons! I think I’ve only had make 6 or 7 requests for appearance when it comes to scheduling for events. When I set up them up, the majority of clients request our very best bartenders. Whether that’s the quickest bartenders, performing bartenders for a bit more entertainment, or the most personable bartenders.. thats my usual!

Honestly,, even if it was a $200.00 event,, there SHOULD be something in writing.. I sold a trailer recently, the buyer gave me a $500.00 deposit and was to bring the other $1500.00 when he picked it up. I brought out a tablet to write a simple receipt and he said NO,, it's a gentleman agreement. So I took $500 CASH and he drove away.. The next day He sent a text saying that he changed his mind with a story about truck problems.. He said "just give me back my deposit money, no harm no foul". I told him he was out of his ever lovin' mind and charged him an additional $100.00 for storage until he sent someone else to pick it up..

The difference of the servers being paid $15.00/hr or $20.00/hr should be very clear. It's no different than if you go out to a restaurant and receive great service or horrible service. The $5.00 difference would be considered a tip. If you had to be told to get off your phone and serve the guest, you were providing horrible service and did not deserve to be given any extra money. Remember that 2 out of the 9 servers did receive the extra $5.00/hr, that in itself proves that the defendants were not intentionally keeping money that was owed, it wasn't earned by the other 7 servers. Tips are given to servers and staff that actually do their job, do it well without having to be told, and they don't have their cell phone out at any time while on duty. Plain and simple. You didn't earn a tip, you don't get a tip. It's the same way in any restaurant you dine in, and a party is no different, I wouldn't have tipped them either if I had to babysit them all night.

We needed a lot of people because there was a lot of decorating to do.
    How much decorating was there?
Well they actually did the decorating.

If they werre my clients, I would have paid the money myself to my own waitstaff to keep the peace. Obviously, the clients werre not happy with this part of the service. Being on their cell phones, opening up multiple bottles, etc. would logically annnoy most people

Don't judges realise they are being paid for their time and energy. Why do they think they are there and what do they think the pay check into their account is for. JJ does this often, now JM is also doing it.

    Mistake #1: no contract
Mistake #2: only hire good looking staff, even though we're going to cover them up with masks. Yet you expected only "good looking" people to actually work? Most get through life on just their looks so that was just stupid.

So the Plaintiff should be paying the staff out of their cut. Two staff were good said the defendant so pay them an not the rest 😂. Some people have more money than sense. Arguing over lose change 😂 - ok so A man comes into my food retail store he buys milk bread eggs and bacon he is wearing a massive gold watch never seen one so big 4gold chains 5big rings, pays cash for his shopping pulls out a wodd of cash, 50’s20’s10 pound notes then goes to leave, he stops ask me how much is a carry bag I say 40p he pulls a face a says arrr no to much 😂😂 an he’s gone.
    Seriously 😮 funny absolutely 😆

I'm confused at how they had hired this company to do the same thing previously and not had it fall apart the way it is now. I have no idea at how they didn't have a contract and not end up quibbling like they did here. I would like to know what was different before (maybe it was a much smaller event?).
What kind of a tasting cost $250 for two people? (this sounds like more than what their per person was at the actual event!!!). it certainly wasn't just paying for the cost of the food/drinks.
For the people who think $10k is alot... the actual cost was more - they didn't talk about the venue rental!! or if there was hired entertainment etc.
