As a retired engineer I have nothing but disdain for these workers they are just meat machines doing grossly inefficient work. This type of glass manufacturering was automated 100 years ago everywhere else in the world. By not adopting more efficient processes they are locking themselves into a endless cycle of poverty.

They responded by embracing quality and efficiency in their production processes. They now have one of the highest standards of living in the world. In any sort of survival or post apocalyptic rebuild scenario not a single person would ask if you had a formal education. Learn life skills and teach them to new generations.

When i was an apprentice machinist many years ago I worked for a company here in Ontario Canada that made bottle making equipment. Looked nothing like this. When the company we made the equipment for closed up. (thank you NAFTA) I assumed the work had gone to Mexico. Guess I was wrong. Great work.

I visit many small scale industries in Pakistan these work are much talent the need advanced technology I recommend to people especially western countries to invest in Pakistan if you want a talented young and cheap labor

I tell you by my experience some of the very educated people lack practice so they implement overcomplicated solution to simple problems and that is one of the reason of the increased cost of craftmanship.
