I met Mark Harmon when I was in high school. My father was a mortgage broker and was working with him on a loan for a property in the mountains of Southern California and he invited my family to watch his semi-pro baseball team play in San Bernardino. He was a co-owner/coach/manager/player. Really nice guy.
I’m guessing you have never read the Fletch novel upon which the movie is based. If you had, then you’d understand the ironic creepiness of your statement in reference to how Harmon gushed over Dawber.
Mark is a great guy I like seeing Rich interview these guys, 1000% better interviews than any night shows. All his guest seem relaxed and happy to talk Rich for president 2028 🎉
Stealing Home is one of my favorite movies. Mark Harmon was great in it but what a great cast as well! It's billed as a comedy but there is a there, there.
@@dttruman Yep. Fourth wall breaking, womanizing weatherman bets he can get 3 proposals accepted. Hilarity ensues. Okay, hilarity is a stretch, but sensible chuckles ensue.
Man, just such a trip seeing a young soul spirits youth 50 years later and still vibes like that under the 70 yr old face (like Michael J Fox but w white hair)
Mark is well aware but polite enough not to mention that Robin was more than likely coked out of his mind that evening. Hence his inability to keep up with Robins momentary home improvement fascination.
Supposedly, I guess depending on who you want to believe, that story would have taken place after Robin quit coke (but was probably still drinking). He had said it was the death of John Belushi in March of '82 that led to Robin quitting coke. So by the time Mark was dating Pam, Robin would have been clean, but not sober. Then again, some say right after the birth of his first child was when Robin quit coke.
All talk shows had this from Johnny Carson to David Letterman. Talk show hosts often have higher desks to visually convey a sense of power and authority over their guests, as it positions them slightly elevated and "upstage" in the frame, which is a subtle visual cue associated with dominance in Western culture, similar to how we read from left to right and tend to focus more on the right side of the screen where the host usually sits; this dynamic is further enhanced by placing the host's desk on the right side of the viewing area.
@vegaslimoguy2376 You know...the post Beatles hair parted down the middle style from 50 years ago. He just looks like an aging out Boomer, attempting to hang on to his youth through receding/thinning hair and a silly far outdated cut. How's that for a truth bomb? Too based? Too much to digest in one serving?
I've never understood the fascination with Robin Williams. When he was doing comedy, he had one character: coke-fueled mania. When doing drama, it was the understated, lower-lip biting, self-effacing guy. That's it. Both are entertaining the first time you see them but they get old quickly.
You obviously have not took a real look at Robin's body of work. From playing psychopaths to Popeye to an alien,he had a WIDE range as an actor..and as a voice actor as well.
Wow, Mark Harmon’s stories are tortuous to listen to. Should come with a warning - may cause drowsiness. Do not operate heavy machinery whilst listening. 😴🥱😴☠️

I really loved seeing Pam and Mark work together finally on NCIS.
What episode was that??
I fell in love w/him as a kid and still love him and miss him as a senior...thanks for sharing that story Mr. Harmon...
This dude always gave me Fletch vibes when I’d watch Summer School. Mark’s just a naturally funny person. I love how he gushed over Pam ❤
Damn,, Harmon certainly could have played Fletch if Chevy hadn't been around.
Yeah young Mark Harmon would have been a great Fletch!
Whwhat happened to him? Like.he was fine ok NCIS
John. Cox…nnn, tosen.

I’m so old I can remember Mark’s dad doing local LA news sports and Mark as the UCLA quarterback.
I was way behind the questions...our beloved Robin.
I remember Mark Harmon from Flamingo Road. Then St. Elsewhere.
Mark is a great guy

I remember watching Harmon on Emergency! He was a K9 officer that worked with station 51 on occasion. I think I was all of about 5 yrs old.
Stealing Home is one of my favorite movies. Mark Harmon was great in it but what a great cast as well!
It's billed as a comedy but there is a there, there.
My favorite work of Mark Harmon's is when he played Ted Bundy in The Deliberate Stranger a very good movie about Bundy from 1986.
Love Mark. I've binged NCIS so many times.
Mark was also on 240-Robert on ABC 1979 to 1981.
I love 240 Robert!!! 👏👏👏👏❤️
Mark seems like a fairly regular guy, and I had no idea he was married to Pam Dawber (aka Mindy).
Does anybody remember watching Mark play QB for UCLA?
0:16 people forget he's got some comedy chops deep in his back catalog. (Summer School and Worth Winning come to mind)
Wasn't Worth Winning a Romcom?

That's the only story that you will ever need.
Always fun to watch, brilliant in NCIS !!!
Mark was in one of the movies i like summer school. Seen the movie when i was thirteen years old on cable
So much respect and love 😀❤🙏🖖
Great guest
That was a great story......
He's great in Summer School

Classic... One of way too many great conversations with people
Gosh, ncis 20 years ago , before that was presidio but ncis is a saftey staple for me. I get lonely or scared in a new city, ncis.
Don't forget "Sam", about a cop and his K-9 companion...
They blow them high jump 💥 then the sounds work
😭😭😂 RICH EISEN WITH ANOTHER GEM! I love his range in stars legends through all aspects of life

Cocaine is a helluva drug.
Shoop!
Wow he actually has aged….wow
He’s aged very very well!!! Silver Fox,❤️❤️❤️
The desk set up is weird. Why does the host elevate himself so that he is literally talking down to his guest. Bizarre.
Why is the desk above the guest? speaks volumes of the mentality.
All talk shows had this from Johnny Carson to David Letterman.

Host dominance over guests. Part of RE's insecure nature.
Yep, it is a power play.
Who wasn’t in love with Mindy McConnell?
240-Robert and UCLA football
are these bots on the comments? why?
Looks like it 🤷🏼♂️
Same as the head lines
Perhaps it's time for Mark to give up the haircut of his youth.
What the hell are u talking about?

Nah, Williams actually had quite a bit of range. He showed the range in his later years. His stand up was stellar.
It never got old for a lot of people.
So which was he in Good Will Hunting? UMMM.
What about "What Dreams May Come"?
Dead Poets Society?
Awakenings?
I'm dropping my mic
@@davidhenner9367 Agree David, He was overrated, he was a quick wit they say, quick at spouting unfunny nonsense.

Coke and speed
Ted bundy
I don't know if comments are from bots but there sure are some haters.
Worst guest I've ever seen on the show Eisen really had to work for that tidbit that failed miserably in the explaining.
It’s brave of mark to stick with that same dork haircut for 55 years
Never have liked this guy, always struck me as a terrible actor and a over privileged person banking on a famous father.
Wow, Mark Harmon’s stories are tortuous to listen to. Should come with a warning - may cause drowsiness. Do not operate heavy machinery whilst listening. 😴🥱😴☠️
Well, when you get that age you just might lose a step or two, he's always been a really laid back guy.
Guess your eyes don’t work? Dude isn’t exactly young anymore
Guess you could watch something else
@ rich sucked me in with the headline. I waited, waited, waited, waited 😴
