Your videos are an inspiration. I'm a comm river fishermen in md. I trotline for crabs, getting into trotlinibg and hoop netting for cats and trapping snapping turtles. I run 5000 feet for crabs but don't use auto dipper hand dip it. I'm jealous of y'all getting to crab year round. Keep making the videos

Love you videos. It appears you guys were killing em. What type of twine do you use that will last a while? Do they have a pvc or coated twine? And what is the name of it, and where can I get it from?

Actually there are many different species even living in the same region. These species in Louisiana are often named from the areas where they are found. Some species grow larger and faster and are therefore chosen for farming. I've seen crawfish that are brown-green and even grey. Just like with Blue Crabs and shrimp, they all turn red when boiled.

Cheep can of dog food with some ice pick holes in it is a better atractant and last for a week to.
Use to know an oh man that would seed his catfish hole with a case of these and in a weeks time was pulling in cats off that area like crazy.

Thanks for replying. I'm doing it for myself and am too cheap to buy pellets, do you think cut Catfish would work well? I know Carp will but Catfish are easier to find in North Florida.

Thanks, this week when I catch some bait I will set my crawfish traps. I found a shallow lake that went dry in the drought a few years ago, so the fish all died off. I think it should be loaded with crawdads.

I sure hope so. They say there are carp here and I have all the corn bait made up for them, but I am catching bluegill today for catfish bait so when I go to the river I won't come home empty handed.
At my age it is all about having adventures and fun. You guys have fun with all you do as well and make money to boot. Have a blessed day.

I just caught some Gar and Mudfish in a trot-line, do you think they would make good crawfish bait or should I use them as fertilizer?

Very cool man.. Whereabouts is this? I'm from and live in New Zealand and we don't have crawfish but we have very large crayfish which I believe you Americans call 'lobster' :) thanks for sharing
