Hello, I live in Brazil and I was looking for models and explanations of shrimp traps, and luckily found your model! Very cool video and didactics. Best regards, Leo
First of all good job on the video. I have seen these commercially and was trying to figure out how they build them. This looks like a very good design. Can you show some followup video on how well they work for you? really good job on vid.
+Ben Parra You cut the bottom of a plastic coffee can out and attach it to the trap instead of a pipe. You can then use the top of the coffee can to keep birds out and crawfish in. Snakes too, lol. The turtles in my pond also learned they could knock the traps over and get an easy meal without a top. Since its a rocky shoreline we cant stake the traps down. The top makes them work harder if I cant catch them in the act with a .22.
Chub, excellent instructional video. I have watched numerous vids on this subject, your is the best so far. Thanks.
