This is a very beautiful song by OOR with a great message. Nothing beats their live performances, but for this song I think you should also watch the music video. In the M/V he also says: "Some days just pass by and some days are unforgettable. We can’t choose the reason why, but we can choose what to do from the day after. So with that hope, with that determination, let’s make tomorrow a brighter and better day." (Maybe that's what he said here in Japanese, I don't know).
We, Japanese, were devastated by a massive magnitude 9.0 "Great East Japan Earthquake" together with tsunami on this day 13 years ago. As of March 10th 2023, 15,900 people had died and 2,523 people were still missing through this natural disaster. Each famliy lost a loved one(s.) Today, I was surprised and frightened to know that 90% of the cause of death was 'drowning' attacked by giant tsunami. Also, as of August 1st 2023, 30,115 people who had lost their houses had been still living a tough life as evacuees away from their hometowns, more than 12 years!！ At that time in Tokyo where I still live, a tall building across the street were swinging slightly from side to side. I witnessed it through the windows of another tall swinging? building, that scared me a lot. Trains stopped, so I couldn't come back home from Shibuya that night. After the big earthquake, there was a series of small aftershocks for a certain period of time that made us feel like drunk. 🌠Listening to "Be the light" by ONE OK ROCK reminds me of our loss, warning from the nature, and value of living each day to the utmost. Thanks a lot, Mike and Jess, for choosing this song on this special day for us and letting me remember those unforgettable days🫶 ＊Also, thanks to the map for the location of this video, I happened to know the big stadium I had been occasionally passing by by car while at work more than 10 years ago was the 'Yokohama Stadium' I dreamed of recently after I loved ONE OK ROCK❣️

Love your OOR reactions. And I'm happy that you find them inspirational. They do have a lot of inspirational lyrics in their songs and Taka always talks about not giving up. Especially after a good friend of his committed suicide, he's always trying to tell their audience/fans to keep going no matter what. They're also a fun band though. During covid they made a parody video of an old but one of their greatest hits in Japan "Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer" (Perfect Sensation Dreamer) and called it "Kanzen Zaitaku Dreamer" (Perfect Homestay Dreamer). They even recorded over the lyrics to change "kankaku" to "zaitaku". They made it to cheer up everyone who are stuck at home and getting depressed. Please check it out.
