Perfect timing! Found out today that my prescription has changed significantly and I need to start wearing glasses full time instead of just for screens. Optician prices were a bit of a shock, so I'm excited to check out Glasses Direct & see what I can find. Thank you ❤
Will be tempted for next time. I got new frames last year so won't be due for a bit, took me ages though as I'm terrible at choosing and it's such an important decision as you have them on your face constantly xx thanks for the video x
Thanks for this video, brought some after watching this video needed some prescription sunglasses so looking forward to receiving them and your review definitely helped 😊
Thank you so much for this video. I have just come back from SpecSavers, and yes they're brilliant in there, but my order would of been £500, so I'm now going to look at Glass Direct. Thanks again for making it look easy as I was worried, not anymore. 😊
I like your frames, I think they would also suit me, perhaps I try if they have the virtual try on these frames, as I have a feeling these will be cheaper than the KM clear frames I chose at Specsaver. Thanks for this video 😊
Oooo honestly I can’t remember for this order as they always have such good deals on. But I JUST ordered two more pairs last week for £82 all in! I think that offer is still on - it was 40% off frames, a free pair and 30% off lenses I think
Great video thanks! Just wondering where you take online glasses to be adjusted? I’m forever getting them tightened , loosened and everything in between 😂
Ooo good question! I actually don’t know, I haven’t had to do any of that! We have a little glasses repair kit in the drawer that we use if a screw comes loose but I haven’t used it for years! Got it off Amazon for a few quid xax
I spose not everything is for everyone - I find them really helpful when at my laptop but yes the pink colour is odd! Although my previous glasses had a green tint so I think I prefer the pink haha
I was surprised going back to see that you have been here in You Tube for 11 plus years. Your first 3 years you weren't seen wearing glasses in any of your videos and in a "What's in My bag" video you weren't wearing glasses and didn't have glasses in your bag. But one about 8 years ago you again were doing a "What's in My Bag" video and this time you had a cute pair of glasses that you said were going to used during a long flight you were about to take. You said to watch TV and read so your eyes wouldn't be straining. They appeared to be rather weak and most likely your first glasses. Generally speaking once your eyes start requiring glasses about every 18 - 24 months you need an increase in your prescription and you slowly are wearing glasses more and more often until they become a part of your everyday "look". But honestly, glasses are really such a very good look on you. As a retired optician your glasses still really don't appear much stronger than your very first pair. You appear to be "longsighted" / "farsighted" as we call kit here in the U.S. But you likely now need them for distance as well as seeing things close up. Glasses Direct has very good quality glasses and the prices are very good as well. Most of the girls that worked in the optical store with me wore glasses. Even though they were each provided with yearly eye exams as well a new pair of glasses every 6 months they also enjoyed shopping for glasses at numerous on-line glasses sites as well. So I was able to get a very good look at the glasses they were getting and here is another 4 sites you might want to check out. Zenni Optical, Lensmart, Eye Buy Direct and Payne Glasses.
This is a lot 😄 but yes my prescription has gotten stronger over time - I have an astigmatism so one side is a LOT stronger than the other and the glasses just help me with that especially when I’m tired (so I wear them a lot now 😆). New glasses every 6 months would be fab!xax
@@xameliaxTH-cam Thank you for your reply. I wondered if you may also had a bit of astigmatism correction in your glasses. As you may or may not know, astigmatisms effects your eyesight at all distances. It can be 50/50 distance a nd near vision or 70/30 with one being more than the other. Anyway you have always looked very nice wearing glasses since day one. Most optical stores has similar benefits for their employees and it provides customers with a nice look of the newest frames being modeled by the employees. Actually the family owned and private optical stores the employees even get additional glasses from the frame reps that come by the store showing their newest frames. They will offer the employees free glasses in their prescription as long as they promise to wear those glasses when working. So if you ever get border with your current job maybe you should consider applying at a local optical store. Besides decent pay you also get a commission as well. Not so much for the frame but for the add-ons they offer, such as the AR coatings (anti-reflective) and blue light blocking coatings or high index lenses (thinned out lenses) About 50% of the optical stores requires their employees to wear glasses during working hours. Our store was one that required glasses be worn and it was only an issue for the girls that didn't need glasses even though they were told before they were hired that was a requirement. Of course their glasses were non-prescription but several still objected anyway. Usually once they got used to wearing glasses they were fine.

Thanks for this video, brought some after watching this video needed some prescription sunglasses so looking forward to receiving them and your review definitely helped 😊

I used glasses direct and I had no issue and I found a great discount for it and the glasses seem great also.
They do some fab discounts don’t they!

Thanks for this video 😊
Hi, may I ask where did you got the “colour and style” analysis, please? Thank you 🙏🏽
Style me happy 😊
I know this is a while ago, may I ask how much you paid for the glasses? I desperately need a spare pair x

Which colour glasses are you wearing? They have two similar colours in the Dallas glasses but I really like the ones you're wearing 🥰
I have the pink and the light brown 🤗
@@xameliaxTH-cam thank you 💓

What shape are those
I think the anti glare coatings are awful - they mark so easily and have the weird pink tint on them - I would never get that coating again
I spose not everything is for everyone - I find them really helpful when at my laptop but yes the pink colour is odd! Although my previous glasses had a green tint so I think I prefer the pink haha
Agreed - my anti-glare coating has a yellow tint, absolutely awful Glasses Direct.
