Pretty sure the overlapping features are: Raids/Strikes and Dungeons/Fractals/DRMs/Etc; Not only that but we have had several living world (and now SotO) instances of "Portals around Tyria go close them" as in Awakened/Crystal Crab thingy/Rifts; and we still have Dailies and Weekly on a bunch of different places in the interface. Regarding her posture holding the spear, I am pretty sure that is just the warrior posture underwater with the spear.
Yeah, that makes sense. I'm glad they realized that they have too many different systems then. Focusing on a few specific ones is much better. The posture is probably placeholder, but one can dream I guess 😂
@@_Banjo_ I realized after the fact that those exact types of houses still exist in kryta. You can see them in many of the maps. I guess I just have never paid attention to it before. So that whole point kind of goes out the window I suppose.
If theyre careful about which feature/content comes in each patch, i see no reason to have a new map in patch 1. Considering its an august / september release.... people just need to stay busy enough over Halloween/Wintersday too. I guess from a development side also - Nayos was all over the place with having 3 metas.
Makes me wonder about the swimming clip. Is it showing the underwater gear on her back, but when it cuts to land, its showing your regular weapon slots? I assume you have to equip it in my main hands so i guess theres a bit of video trickery here for the intent. Also makes me wonder...can i equip the spear in both land underwater? Do i need 2 in terms of armory?
Right? Those are some good questions! I think there are some shenanigans going on with the animation of holding that spear. Tuesday will certainly be exciting just for that !
PvP Conquest needs more maps, at least three. Then new game modes besides the dumb pveish pvp one and Conquest. Conquest is fun. But capture the flag would be nice. Bigger type of Conquest with 5 points and it's 10v10. Map with a flag(kinda like the orb of ascension) and bases. Also a mine cart like map from WoWs pvp. A lot of this is inspired by WoW. I think wow has best variety of pvp, but GW2 does combat/classes and builds/balance better. Please more game types/maps
Most of those were about the Retrospective part of the post. I'm sure the announcement will be super hype but it won't have anything that concerns what they have learned from SotO. I would like to see some actual transparency in some of these posts, but it is what it is.
I still think that releasing the expansion with one single map would be totally fine too, don't know how other players would take it tho...maybe it's just me, but having time to concentrate on one single map at a time would be way better! but we'll see how splitting in two the end map will feel...they will have to make the story bring together the two parts, a thing that failed since Gyala...let's hope for the best!

The skills at the bottom show that this character is a vindicator. It also shows the same skill icons as the greatsword for vindi.

I can certainly agree that pvp needs more updates. Maps, balance, and a getting rid of all the bots. New interesting modes would be fun as well!
