The Orchid Show: Natural Heritage is Lily Kwong's celebration of her ancestral connections to the natural world-and an invitation to seek out your own ties to the Earth and its beauty. Explore a few of the historical inspirations behind Kwong's fantastical design for this year's show, from Chinese landscape paintings depicting the country's sweeping mountainscapes, to the artistic and philosophical traditions of orchids in Chinese culture, their uses in traditional medicine, and beyond. The show opens its doors to the public this Saturday, February 18. Absolutely stunning! And what a great idea if you've a large greenhouse. Instead of the usual shelves and tables, etc, I've never thought of actually landscaping it.... Choose plants from a higher climate and make a realistic water feature (pond, river, waterfall, etc.), including fish. A lovely seating area, and voila! A complete mini-paradise! Thank you for the idea 🙏🙋‍♂️
