I do believe what most people don’t understand about why Aizen hates the soul king isn’t because he wants to be the soul king himself rather he hates the simple fact the soul king is currently nothing more than a figure head unable to actively rule and participate in any sort of decision making without a will of it’s own but a mere tool in the grand scheme of things.
Yes, indeed. But also the king of souls can be compared to God in our world. He is there, but he does not interfere directly in the life of each of us, thus allowing us to make personal choices and be responsible for the consequences ourselves. This is how we learn and grow.

I love that about him. he's as kind and driven as any other shonen protagonist, but something about that quiet stoicism makes him feel so different to others, yet just as beautiful.

What I love in this fight is how Aizen continues to lose it while fighting Ichigo since Ichigo is just overwhelming him, and the fact too the difference between them being how even as powerful as Ichigo got, he retained his humanity, while Aizen, in his desperation to stay the strongest, kept throwing his humanity away, represented by his desire to defeat Ichigo reflecting in the Hogyoku and it mutating him closer to a Hollow-like state.

It’s like them breaking the 4th wall within the anime show lol got to love it lol. Like in real life nobody is going to sit there for 5 min to hear your opponent you fighting explain there techniques lol. Just straight punch in the mouth mid sentence lol.
I have a newfound appreciation for the way Ichigo relocates the battle. As strong as he was, he didn't want the possibility of anyone else getting hurt. So he asks nicely. And once Aizen makes it clear he's not going to cooperate he says "fuck it, we are *not* fighting here" and instead of using a surprise attack to potentially end things immediately the very first thing he does is he gets everyone out of harm's way
Of course he is the good guy our hero it's normal he wants people safe first.
The surprise attack wouldn't be as cinematic though

My favorite part of this fight is that look of sheer confusion and terror Aizen gives when Ichigo caught his sword, the animation for that facial expression was perfect. You didnt need any words to describe it lol. You could already tell what he was thinking..."The fuck, The fuck just happened" lol

I am the same it's a beautiful fight Ichigo is so calm. While aizen is going mad from the first minute a very big point in the show.
One undeniable fact is after everything Ichigo did it wasn't enough, Aizen survived his final blast and also his zanpakuto was fading away meaning he was about to evolve to a higher level, that's why in the final chapters of bleach when the Head commander asked for help from Aizen he had grown his powers at an unprecedented level to such an extent that they sealed his powers by 90% but still managed to open a path with his powers alone which all captains couldn't do and as a bonus he destroyed some monsters for them, not to forget that in his sealed state he helped Ichigo defeat Yhawh Bach, obviously from that Alone you could see that Aizen was OP

Way over the top and only defeated due to kido which is always portrayed as weak and a mere annoyance, yet it took him down.

They never did defeat Aizen, still haven't.
All they did was lock down 90% of his power, and even then, they used him against the Quincies and he decimated them.

The more I watch this the more I'm convinced that Mugetsu stops time itself making it impossible to dodge.
It has the same particle effects as Hado 90 which makes me think that the attack is a time/space distorting attack that 3 dimensional existing characters can't react to in any way. That it just destroys you at the cellular level.
I think Kubo Tite should have killed Aizen off completely from that attack. The attack would have completely destroyed all the particles that made up Aizen and his fancy stone defying the laws of physics "matter can't be destroyed".
Seeing Aizen just casually get up from a big slash through the back kind of makes the significance of the attack diminished.
This is an interesting thought. Indeed, after all this, it turns out that the importance of the attack has indeed decreased, but the importance of Aizen has increased, showing his godlikeness!
I don’t understand why Ichigo used Mugetsu if it discards all of his shinigami powers. He was stronger than Aizen, wasn’t he?

I can’t believe Ichigo Kurosaki is back to face Sosuke Aizen without holding him back for very often? 😃
Great piece of writing symmetry with the colour palette and the moves, mirroring aizen oneshotting everyone on sokyoku hill. I feel what hits about this fight is that, though he wins by a country mile, ichigo isn’t really into it. He’s lost his will to fight and doesn’t hold anything personal against aizen but recognises that it’s necessary. He’s already grieving because he knows once the fights done he will lose his powers and not be able to protect anyone again. I don’t think The look in his eyes is quiet confidence but grim realisation and sadness.
My favourite part of this fight was reveal that Aizen's feats he was gushing about were Ichigo's.
It kind of show how the ending was kind of cop out to justify the next arc.
Aizen was talking about being all powerful and stuff but when you go deeper into the story you realize just how flawed that idea was considering the object he was relying on was made by a regular soul reaper 😅 ichigo was born powerful and grew more powerful due to all the bs Aiken put him thru talk about true strength ❤

Mmhmm. Plus Ichigo had kept his humanity, something as an aspect that Soul Reapers toss away easily, and one thing Aizen was throwing away because he was afraid of being weaker than Ichigo, which is why he became more like a Hollow as the Hogyoku reflected his desire to defeat Ichigo.
The story is very similar to Diablo. The powerful heroes are offspring from Sanctuary. Where devil ^ angels had intercourse. And produced genetics of each strength for each side.

Aizen's narrative is the most canonically true, and with what's revealed at the end of the TYBW, during the events of CFYOW, and cemented in "The Hell Arc" - Aizen was definitely trying to save his own life, but considering he's almost pacifistic about not killing those he could or should, with what he knew, I believe he was trying to save everyone else, too.
Hence why Yhwach thought Aizen would side with him - and if he had, the war would've been over right then.

My favorite parts of the battle are of course the face grab bitch slap.. then, Mugetsu causing Ichigo to lose his power just like how the Quincy ult uryuu used to ko mayuri causes him to lose his power.. shows it was probably a Quincy ult. Maybe. Cool if that's true. Then the hogyouku being like, "nah, you need a time out to think some shit through.."

Aizen injured one of Ichigo's arms before he went Mugetsu mode so I think that implies the Mugetsu attack was more powerful than what was shown since his uncovered arm in that form was the one Aizen damaged

I would honestly love to see bleach reanimated like one piece just without the anime only arcs with the animation that blood war currently has, and hell, it may improve when the hell arc is animated. Plus knowing ichigo's heritage it explains why he lost his powers since its the same technique that uryu used against mayuri just massively changed due to the fact that his soul reaper powers is stronger than his quincy and with the powers mixed we got mugetsu ichigo as a result of the mix

I remember having some 340ish episodes on my old rig i torrented, i watches upto this point and a couple relaxed story episodes after, and i vaguely remember something about all the soul reapers misinterpreting ichgo as human when in acctualltiy his father was one and his mother was something else, so he had triple origins in power. Anyway i never watched any firther and always wondered if he ever recovered his abilities?
