Sir,mujhe Kuch sawal badi hi pareshan Kar rahi hai ki Chadwick's experiment mein,Q1.Instead of other metals particularly B,Be etc Jaise metals ko hi kyon chunagaya tha! I guess ki powerful alpha particles "Be" metal se takrane ke baad bhi neutral rays emit karneka koyi khaas Karan Q.1 ke ANS mei hi hai!

It is not vaccum the pressure in the tube is around 10 mill mm of hg is so so small that it cannot be felt but it is not vaccum.If you have any doubt plz refer physics wallah-Alakh pandey
