Why do you load the blade in this order? I got GC76 as you know and I don't have any what so ever issue loading the blade. I put the top cap upside down first. Then load the blade. Next I put the bottom cap and the blade is secured and locked perfectly. Perfectly alinghed. Not problem cutting yourself or something like that. P. S. Now to continue watching 😁
2 pins across the length of the blade secure it way better than the single one in the middle. I agree, you can work around it and load the blade as you described, though the 2 pins in every razor head are there to ensure stable blade position during loading. Loading from the top cap is still introducing high chance to have the blade misaligned and eventually cut you. It's obviously a flawed design.😄
Nice shave! GC is amazing performer! A few safety razors can compere with .84 ! And complaining for base plate is like to completed about heat I Canada 😂😂😂😂
Thank you! And I 100% Agree! It's a great and very smooth razor. With just couple of shaves with it, I already prefer it compared to my SLOC or my Lupo.
Nice shave brother! After using the Game changers and the Hawks for a while I actually prefer their loading mechanism to the conventional one. I guess that says some about adaptability. Oh, and thanks for the mention ✌️
Thanks for watching Earl! Yeah, I agree not a deal breaker with the loading. I probably have unpopular opinion regarding this. As someone who's been doing design for more than 2 decades, I just have strong opinion when it comes to design principles related to function & aesthetics. 😅 Have a great weekend brother!
That's a really good question. Both are very close in terms of smoothness and efficiency. I personally lean towards the Rocca. Mainly because it's with a bit head heavy balance compared to the GC, which is something that I like. Also the the baseplate width of the Rocca is closer to the cutting edges of the blade - that makes it more comfortable for detailing. These are tiny personal preferences though. In terms of price to value, the GC is extremely hard to beat. The Rocca's price tag is higher but arguably you pay a bit more for better looking razor as well. Whichever you choose you can't go wrong. Such an excellent question, it may be interesting to do a comparison shave video between them.
Great shave! After trying it a couple times, how do you feel it compares to the Lupo 72 ? On video you seem to think the Lupo 72 is a bit more efficient, but is the GameChanger 84 beating it in comfort and smoothness ?
In terms of efficiency I feel that the GC 84 is in the same ballpark as the Lupo 72. I plan to do a comparison as I was asking myself the same. Keep an eye for it 😄
Not with all of them. I have the Lupo and SLOC - they are both with all 3 pins on the top cap. That's honestly a minor thing, and probably wouldn't bother many people. I'm just annoyed by it😅 And it doesn't impact the shaving in any way. Other vintage razors are having the side pins on the base plate as well.
Beauty Bathman shave!!
You know it! 😉

Thank you!
same as the reverse studs gillette goodwill razor. you'll easily get the knack of it.
👍
Great video! I love the GC. It’s a great value for a terrific razor!

How does this razor compare to your Muhle Rocca in terms of efficiency and smoothness? Which of the 2 do you prefer? Thanks!

Do you know if they did that design with all their razors?
