Would not these scoops be caught by the keeper? All of them are rather close to the wickets. But great video, now know where to start and improve.

There is enough elevation to get over the keeper. But that is one thing you should be aware of. Either going to one side of the keeper or trying to go over the top.

You would be facing a faster delivery than the practice machine is set to. The ball would carry more momentum and probably go quite a bit higher and also as I say more momentum so it would be faster coming off the bat and much harder to catch. But I'm not a fan of this shot it's a showing off shot really shouldn't be played in test cricket and only when a win is in clear site in an OD possibly T20.

Hi team.. I tried this shot in nets, this is one of the best shot when the bowler bowls a fuller length or yorker length outside off or leg. what if the bowler bowls a good length or shorter length delivery outside off or leg. how can i adjust? can you please suggest me?? waiting for your advice..

@@thekorovabar that's very dangerous since u must commit to the shot. If the bowler bowls outside off on a good length, you could change up the shot a bit and play it like a reverse paddle with your bat at 45 degrees.

With this position, batsman can only play fuller balls. The open chest body position is dangerous against fast bowlers bowling short or good length.

This style of scoop is Not for Indian wickets and slow pace bowlers. Better you play it like a dilscoop in the Indian subcontinent, so that you can go under the ball perfectly.
