    Most coaches don't teach that stance. They teach to be side on and head close to the shoulder. Thanks I will try this

    Wow. I used to face lot of trouble facing pace bowlers. After using this technique , already able to belt a few of their balls. Still practicing everyday and loving the new confident batting. Thanks Gary.

    Great stuff and effective. Nice to see a quality coach speak about the ‘back and across’ trigger. About ten years ago, I was working with a young guy who came back to me after a lesson with his club coach who told him ‘back and across is old fashioned and we do not coach that these days.’

    The key takeaway is that bottom hand grip if more rounded then rear elbow more behind, bat behind and eventually hands away in downswing and can't play the on drive or flick shot. Superb Instruction Loved that Gary!

      @@CricketLifeStories I think to your next guest, you should asked about strength and agility training. And what precautions or care should be taken to our body after having a first class or 4days match. And asked to an expert how to control or recover our breathing after taking quick 2 or 3 runs because sometimes most of us feel tired when we are going to face the next ball. I mean we can't able to give 100% focus to the next ball which we are going to face.

    I’m literally always out before my fourth over, I bat first for the Warwickshire u13 however I’m 14 (I’m short basically) anyway I literally can’t last at all so this was very helpful

    In early 80,s 90,s no coaching methods but produce GREAT LEGENDS IN CRICKET. Even in 70,s legends players like Bradman .miandad .sir Gary sobers .sir Viv Richard .and Mony more not even in cricket even in every sports .

    I Think leg goes first with the combination of head together at the same time with shoulder ..in short it's all about adjusting with ease..
