Considering you both would have already graduated from Hogwarts, it doesn't matter what house you get anymore. Whatever house you were when you were younger is what the sorting hat would have placed you in. Sam is still a Hufflepuff and Ryan is still a Slytherin.

There’s a test that combines all the questions on pottermore, because as you guys notice each test is different, but there is a quiz that gives you all of them and that is what house you are officially.
if it makes you feel better, you get sorted into a house at thr start of your first year, and you're basically in that house for the rest of your life, so i believe that if you got sorted into hufflepuff and slytherin, you're still that to this day
edit: ok i just retook this test. have always been a hufflepuff, i get Slytherin.... its totally broken
edit 2: ok i retook the test again and thank god i got hufflepuff. im still mad about getting Slytherin tho
