Doug. I use coconut cream as my coffee / tea creamer when I ran out of fresh milk or condense milk. It gives the drink a delightful nutty flavour.

I always end up having mixed feelings about any type of flavored coffee or flavored cream. My instinct is to avoid them. It seems like I wouldn't like them.
But I have to say, whenever I happen to have some kind of flavored coffee, I end up really enjoying it. I'm always surprised by that. And lately I just love coconut in anything. I think coconut cream for coffee would be amazing right now. 😁

Hi Doug, fyi the weak milk coffee is just like the milk one but they put more condensed milk into the cup making the coffee more light and sweet than normal. I found that it’s relatively as same as triple triple at Timmies. It’s a to go drink for me in the hot and humd summer in Saigon. Cheo Leo is one of my favourite place to go for coffee, the atmosphere is just astonishing with the neighbourhood.
Cheers from a Vietnamese living in Niagara Falls, thanks for bringing back the memories, hope you enjoy your trip 🎉

@00:13. I drive through that circle in my car. No problem on a motobike. Super simple. Car is much more difficult.

An interesting fact though, Highlands Coffee was started by a Vietnamese American guy actually, in Hanoi way back in 1998 and since 2012, nearly half owned by Jollibee Philippines. Nothing beats the local coffee joints for me especially those who are marrying tradition with modern flair such as Little Hanoi Cafe for example.

I was just reading about that. I read that it was the first time an overseas Vietnamese was able to register a private company in Vietnam. And they started off packing and selling coffee. I don't know if opening coffee shops was part of their business plan, but they started off just selling coffee grown in Vietnam. And then they branched out into coffee shops, which makes sense.

How about the Red Green Show? Was that a staple for you growing up? I just discovered that there is a Red Green Show TH-cam channel. I think they have all 300 episodes on there in full. I just watched half of an episode, and I laughed aloud several times. Laughing aloud is rare for me, so I think that proves I have a truly Canadian soul.

@@PlanetDoug I love the Red Green show. I actually was fortunate enough to go see the filming a few times. They would film a couple of episodes at a time and you had no idea what was going on until you watched the episodes weeks later on TV. I loved it and I've been subscribed to their channel for quite a while now. Haha

Another enjoyable video, Doug! You always create a great vibe while you roam around, running errands in Southeast Asia.

Cc ! I would take Highland coffee, but I prefer to local street coffee. 🎉🎉🎉it is reasonable and the same taste as Fancy coffee shopS. I heard someone say DJI would perform better than Go Pro 🎉. Microphones 🎤 need a stable power to maintain work. Should you a have powerbank with u all the time. Good luck Doug 👍 🎉

CC I thought Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf was a Singapore or Malaysian company as well!!! I saw so many there but it is actually a California company, however they have the majority of their locations in Asia.

I was just reading about the company again, and it seems that they were bought by Jollibee, from the Philippines. I have fond memories of going to a Jollibee many times in the Philippines. But as I think I mentioned in the video, it was never for the food. It was always the only place that was open really early in the morning where I could sit down at a table in relative comfort with a cup of coffee and write in my journal.

To be honest, I was never a big fan of the SNL skit or the movies. But they were such a cultural phenomenon that the Wayne's World song and catch phrases and characters are stuck in my brain. I guess it started off as Wayne's Power Minute in Canada. I just watched a few of those. They were like early TH-cam videos before TH-cam.
