I do kinda miss it but not because I want it on those maps. I like the new mechanic ALOT more but I do miss feeling stressed out from it. I'd like a new map built around it with the loot balanced around it with no ore, plants, treasure piles or anything that would make you feel like you don't have enough time so it's entirely about being forced together.

Bard is the swashbuckler in Dark and Darker and Dungeons and Dragons, I believe. (Bard can use this shield)

@@Tomorrows21 oh well. There’s basically no difference between bard swash and rogue swash. Or just play weapon master fighter swash. Same concept

A tech that I noticed no one is using is that you can delay the second attack on the shield, you can do the first attack, swing your weapon 1-2 times, and then use the second shield attack, this combo is ridiculously strong with high action speed and a rapier

Now here's the question regarding the lantern shield. Does intercepting an attack with shield slam give you a riposte?
No because you’re animation locked

Block attack, let go of block, press block again quickly

Also now shields can roll dmg and armor pen so you can maximize the dmg really well. Range feels awkard on the hammer but das more personal pref.
They also nerfed its impact rating and making it riposte faster. Its actually pretty solid once range combat dies down ;-;
Hey thank for the video. if been using the shield non stopp and i recomend you to take barricade. becous even when you repose you still get the 50 Magic and armore buff.
One thing I have been doing lately is having my longsword and then a dagger by itself in my 2nd slot, and when I fight a class that wants to kite I just chase with the dagger.
I have been experimenting with running taunt instead of sprint and it feels quite good
@jirilaska9788 I used it back when white gear lobby where a thing. Full white plate plus that gave insane pdr and like no one knew what it was so the still tried to out Facetank me

I just started playing fighter lantern shield it’s so fun I use it with falcions but I’ll definitely try the hammer it looks so fun

What one-hand do you prefer the most with the lantern shield? I've fallen in love with the shield and still haven't settled on the one weapon to rule them all.

No you have to let go of block and press block again after a block
how you attack with the shield lantern?
You right click after blocking any attack, you can press once for the punch or press twice to punch then stab with the shield blade
