@@livingtheamericandreaminth1872 I'm curious what you're referring to, and on what size tractors? My b21 has been bulletproof, but the little bx's have a little more plastic than I'm comfortable with. But, those are homeowner grade machines.
@@ctdieselnut well my grandpa had either a 2014-2015 kubota M7085 I think was the model it was a cab tractor 4×4 complete junk every time he went to cut hay it would brake down the hydraulic's was so weak he could bail a good 4×5 they would all squat so he traded it for a 2016 john deer 60105E cab tractor and has had zero issues with it at all just one sensor that went out after it had over 1,000hrs on it now it has 1,800hrs and also a side note the kubota with a 8' hay mower he couldn't cut 20 acres for with out having to refuel the tractor again
Bought this machine in 2019, best machine I own, mine had 852 hours still working we 18,000 on it I’m almost there, the KX 057-5 has me tempted as all get out, depends what my trade value is. Great videos brother
Tim you are 100% correct on people looking on TH-cam before a big purchase. Years ago when I was younger (almost 5 years go) I was looking into buying my first set of battery tools. My parents had dewalt, and I just wasn’t 100% with there tools. So I remember watching you, and I remember you buying Milwaukee tools, and I had watched you for a long time, and I remember thinking that if you said they were good, that they must be good. I know you will say what you think about your purchase’s, and so I ended up buying Milwaukee and I’ve been happy ever since. So honestly I think you Tim, you inspired me to make a good purchase in life, and I hope more people will do the same
I have a b21 kubota tlb. Has been bulletproof for the 2700 hrs I've put on it. Just needs a front axle seal now, and I cant blame it. Has made me a million bucks. Cant imagine living without it. Great to hear your having good luck with yours.
That's been a good machine, an you are correct Tim, Kubota has shops everywhere, there's a big one here in my town I live in, they've got big tractors an bigger excavators there all the time, it's a nice place, thanks for sharing 🇺🇲💪🌲
There is 2 different options on kubotas fang type and flat clean up type. Sticks out 12” from the stick. The gang type is 18”. The double safety is so annoying tho I bought my machine new in 2019 and that’s the one of two issues. The boom Bleed down with over load I don’t like it should hold my lil MR35-2 mini does not. It’ll hold when doing tree work. Otherwise unbelievable machine I will buy another kubota in the future. I ran deer, cat, ihi, bobcat, taukhui*, Ghel, but komatsu and kubota won me over.
you are right about the influence of TH-cam on marketing. I pay no attention to the ads but almost everything I buy, I will research first on TH-cam. I also look in specialty forums (not big vendor websites, those are full of bots) to see what issues people are having with whatever.
I always thought the smaller excavators, those that can be towed under cdl, were pusing the limit on lift capacity for tree work...meaning moving logs. Your stating you would go larger next time confirms my thoughts. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
The point you made about doing the research. Next is as you stated with all machines you must weigh the pluse and minus for each machine and what you do. People also need to know you can get a lemon in any equipment brand. I have a zero turn mower with a computer control start. No key it works on a number code and safety switches every where. I bought it in 2016 and have no real complaints. The computer control failed this year and cost 300 but the dealer came to my home and replaced it. A good dealer is a gold mine. I am disabled so it's very important to me. I take care of the mower and it's heavy around 1200 pounds well built. I have about 450 hours on it and mow 6 acres. Enjoy your videos very much.
I can't believe it's been that long that you have had the mini. Time sure has flown by. There is at least two Kubota dealers near me up hear in Morgantown, WV, close driving distance.
Tim, appreciate all the info. I have just purchased a kxo-80 r. Installing mulching head this week. Honestly trying to make it as versatile as possible, because lack of labor. Where can I find that grapple?
In July 2023 Kubota KX057-5R3A with a cab, angle blade, thumb, quick coupler and auxiliary hydraulics is $92,370.74 out the door in southern Arizona. I don’t know how large of a machine you want to move up to but guessing at least $120K
The auxiliary button on the 8 tonne kubota isn’t on the screen it’s actually on the right hand side dash down near the seat belt mount it’s in a terrible spot.
I have the KX 033-4, approximately 7000 lb machine, under 25 horse power so no DEF etc. I would have loved a 57, but probably wouldn't be able to move it, looking for the KX 040 with 6 way blade and cab.
I know that Bobcat track compact loaders are the same way along with John Deere. I don't understand it either. If my hydraulics are active then they should ALL be active
You mentioned the aux control button being mover from the console to the stick between the two generations of your machine. Would your dealt be able to retrofit that upgrade to your machine?
I doubt it and the reason I think that is because you can't even add the extra auxiliary hydraulics to the machine like I have if you wanted to. It has to be built that way from the factory ( I was so sick when I found that out)
My experiance with Kubota goes back into the 70s. I have never worked with a bad one. They have all been bulletproof.
I can't speak to there mini excavators or skidsters but there tractors are junk there quality has gone way down hill I do how ever like the older ones

Mighty stuff Tim, great little machine, 3.5 years, Wow, remember when You got it new, where is the time going👌👌👍🙂
I should have mine Friday. Thank you for helping Pat with the grapple on it. Great video CT
Tim m glad it has worked out for you so well. I hope the next one is just as good.👍
Your right on about the thumb being in the way Tim, I have them on the small machines , but its definitely a trade off.

Beautiful clean mini excavator
Thanks for taking time to do this. Stay safe and God bless

nice machine! 057 has gone up like $20k in price since 2019, you could probably sell that machine for what you paid for it now days.

Look up Rotobec, it’s a mini pc grapple
Awesome Video!!
The number one benefit of a cab is the protection it provides with ground hornets. 😂
The problem with the small pins coming out, if the big pin backs out you can have damage to alinement and bent linkage.
Was wondering if you are going to the Ga. farm expo in Moultrie this year?
How do you access and disconnect the moisture sensor from the bottom of the water separator?
Look at yesterdays video, it shows how to do it.
Awesome! Thank you sir, I appreciate your help.
I have the same machine but with the enclosed cab. Do you run your throttle wide open? I was told by dealer to run it wide open. Thanks
Yes, wide open.
@@cotontop3 Thank you. Love your videos.
I also set it wide open when it does a regen, even if I’m not even on it.

Gene, what dealer??? Looking to purchase a 057-5 fully loaded asap.
Was that including tax ?
@@jeffsaunders4785 yes tax included.
Kx057-5 with cab cost 90,000 today
That’s a deal beaker for me too!
Button pushing all the time. To activate the auxiliary hydraulics is for the birds.
That drives me NUTS!
Great video...
Can you post a link to the phone mount?
My wife runs rubber tracks in aggregate and her drive sprockets were worn out by 1000 hours. Mine run doing tree work have lasted 2000 hours.

6 way blade would be really cool
A cab saves you from getting stung by bees wasp hornets spiders. Also keeps you out of the rain .

My skid steer is the same way with the auxiliary hydraulic activator switch. I hate it. Kubota is great equipment manufacturer
I was hoping you would raffle it off 😢
The Kubota take government juice thanks from Gary
It doesn’t
I want to diver a mini excavator
