you can see recorded videos or audios of gayatri mantra on youtube or google,understand its meaning and then do it,when mantras have been repeated for thousands and thousands of years by rishis and yogis they attain extreme power and energy,repeat this mantra with awareness and peaceful mind,you can also do this mantra and meditation uder guidance of a spiritual guru or yogi.
