Dharma or a neutral mindset is neither good nor bad. So, if you are dharmic (based on pre-programmed karma), then you do not have to use so called "positive karma" to get rid of "negative karma". But to have a dharmic mindset also depends on an individual's pre-programmed karma. Not everyone can do it.
So, like sri sri said those who are not dharmic or those who seek goodness can get rid of negative karma but they cannot get rid of goodness. So, we have to desire to be dharmic so that goodness is also removed eventually in one of our future lives. Free will cannot remove goodness or bad if our pre-programmed karma does not favor it. Karma pre-programs a person's guna and situations and circumstances.

Karma, an endless cycle. How to be free? What if like Will Ferrel in Stranger than Fiction, you just stopped doing any actions, what would happen to this life if you just locked yourself up in a room and never left. What kind of karma would that create?
Karma is the universal spiritual law of moral causation, a belief system preceding back to India and eastern-philosophy. Many spiritual societies have formulated karma into their teachings, and adapting to ideas such as; the belief of all experiences is a result of our influence, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Cause and effect and other sorts of vague metaphorical mumbo-jumbo. The philosophical implications of karma seems to be surrounded by alot of hazy unjustifiable elements. The idea of subtlety predicating universal events in the bigger spectrum of things is a principle for causation, the relationship between cause and effect, not karma.

Guruji ,can you explain the rudiments of negative impressions come to grip the mind of wealthy and powerful,there by urging them to do evils on a massive scale and why it all passes to the decedents,urging them again to fallow negative impressions expressed in their actions,the continuity of evils which create so many innocent preys,and face them generation by generation the repercussions,in a simple way?The consciousness shrouded with ignorance is basically the store of negative impressions,so why a lot more people again and again stay away from enlightenment and wisdom?
Ajayakumar PV No, karma of parents does NOT pass to children. Everybody has their own karma or cause and effect.Your parents has done some bad things but it does not mean you get affected by it unless it is your pre-programmed karma to be affected by it.
Why do you think only rich people do "evil things"? Are there no poor murderers, rapists, thieves and corrupt people?
Both good and bad gunas are shaped by past karma. I've seen good rich people but poor corrupt people and vice veraa. So, we can't generalize based on communist ideology. It is stupidity.
If your karma was to be born in a rich family (which is your own making), then it wouldn't mean you would do bad karma. Any act without violation of dharma or ethics or balance does not create karma. If rich kids are having fun, it is their pre-programmed karma.
Fun without violating personal and universal dharma or balance or ethics does NOT create any karma let alone bad karma. But yes, even to be dharmic depends on pre-programmed karma which pre-programs a person's mindset or guna and situations and circumstances. Free will cannot achieve anything beyond your pre-programmed karma

How to remove past karma
+Zahida Jan, This calls for three steps: sravana (reading/listerning), manana (reflection/analysis) and nididhyasana (saadhana/dhyaana). It is a gradual process. Once you dive deep in meditation (clering the mind of all thoughts, desires and impressions), you will eliminate the "sanchita karma" and "aagaami karma". Every second/moment you can remain in a state of "thoughtless" dhyaana, tons of sanchita karma gets dissolved.
Compared to Indian philosophy, spirituality and mysticism Western philosophy and religion seems so rudimentary and anything but cult like. That's just my opinion. You can blame me if you want.

HOW YOU CAN ESTABLISH THE PEACE IN WORLD PERMANENTLY?
It is my CHALLENGE forever that you can't establish the peace in your country OR in world permanently.
BECAUSE presence of many religions in world is basic reason for terrorism, wars, bomb blasts, suicide, poverty and illiteracy etc.
So there is only one way for peace in world permanently that all human beings of world or majority of them believe in only one God Creator "Allah", in only one leader "Muhammad"(pbuh), in only one book "Holy Quran" and in only one religion "Islam". Because the dead bodies of their pious followers only don't decay in intact condition and only their some Martyrs and saints cure the incurable disease and do their medical operatiins after their death too.
If you don't trust the BBC Urdu and other media reports then do it:
You should take some incurable patients with their medical test reports and come on grave of Sunni Muslim Martyr " Shah Aqeeq Baba " who has been healing the incurable patients and who has been doing their medical operations since centuries according to the BBC Urdu and other media reports at Village and post office Chuhar Jamali, District Thatta, Province Sindh, Pakistan and stay there only for 15 days and then check these patients again by medical test reports.
If medical test reports Will say that the patients have got some reliefs without using any medicine then you should accept the BBC Urdu and other media reports and accept the religion "Islam" but if the test reports said that they did not got any reliefs then crucify me in front of peoples and world media.

This way is very acceptable for every sincere Non-Muslims. Because it is order of Almighty Allah to respect the all Gods of Non-Muslims(if they are), their religious books and religious persons as it is said in Holy Quran Chapter 6 verse 108,
" وَلَا تَسُبُّوا الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا اللَّهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ.
"And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do".
I think it is enough for those who want to peace in world permanently otherwise there are wars among all human beings since centuries and these wars will continue in future too if we all human beings or majority of us did not agree with one God Creator Almighty Allah and did not agree with one religion "Islam" only.
