Been watching for years, i remember this channel is what got me into map creating and MOW as a whole. Awesome content, still bringing the heat!
Is this game worth getting and playing over MOW?
@@adrianmessina5214 I believe so, as a MOWAS2 user. 1k hours, MOWAS2 is very old compared to GOH, lots of more possibilities, better graphics and animations etc.

I don't really care who wins since its a game but it gest old when its the same side over and over again. Also wehraboo's are annoying.

Ooof looks like this German assault miscalculated Soviet defenses: reconnaissance failed to identified the concentration of enemy AT positions and as a result, Command never delivered preliminary artillery barrages or Luftwaffe strikes as per protocol. The logistics are mounting on Wehrmacht forces whose morale is low, the troops are cold, the planes' engines are frozen and no signs of showing that the fighting will slow down...

Hey, Diplex! Amazing video, as always. Question for you. Would you be interested in making a GoH Editor tutorial? I know that for myself, and I bet for others, the editor is a bit overwhelming. Because you’re clearly so good at it, I think a basic tutorial with some tips and tricks would definitely encourage me to dedicate more time to the editor. Just a thought. Thanks for your content!
I just moved from MoW to GoH in the past week and damn I'm loving all these new animations for the artillery, units embarking and disembarking, and the death animations. It looks amazing XD

14:30 well if there’s manned trenches in front of a tank, those soldiers will be seriously injured & or die from the shock wave. I was a sniper attacked to mechanized Infantry for some time. You stay on the side or melt your insides. Even standing in front of a 50cal Barrett sniper rifle is a bad time. Same thing w/ being in the back blast of an AT4. That will fuck you up & or kill you depending how close you are. Just something to think about when creating these map designs.

I think you can try adding BS-3 100mm anti tank guns in that map.

@@TheOsu22 it had weird timing since it had to match the timing for Abu Dhabi. So the prelims started early in the morning and the main event was at 2pm, if your living in America.

what i'am saying is that the AI really needs work so don't hesitate to give a fire order if an AT gun is getting blasted during reloading and you know its going to fire on a tank that is not a high threat too its self and you think it would be realistic too do so / if you think it was possible that the AT gun crew in real life probably would have given the chance, also lol 3 German solider ran right past the Soviet AT battery on the left side of battery they could shoot at the soviets disabling a vital position lol sorry i'll bashing on the AI now...its was still a truly EPIC BATTLE my man
What happened to your custom battles mod?
As it should be .
The angel of fire for the last line gives the attackers more cover in the highground l than the defenders. The second line would be a better entrenched position for the IS-2s with indirect fire weapons in the 3rd line supporting.
It would be a less progressive battle though as the 2nd line would support the first line and take fire at the same time causing both lines to collapse near enough to the same time. The 3rd line wouldnt stand up much longer without direct fire AT support
hey Diplex i found your channel a few years back but i lost it not long after due to an account change...glad to have discovered you i love your content....would you say gates of hell is a replacement for AS2, i will say though from watching your awesome replay content is sadly looks like the AI has not improved, by which i mean, the AI still does nonsensical things like.."i'am going to run into the trench with my DP-40 and bi-pod it, then jump right back out of trench and then lay behind it and bi pod, then stand and run around a bit in plain sight of the enemy and get my AI bot ass killed".

Do you have the free multiplayer only version? Because in that case you can't get GoH, you need to buy the basic one
@@Pratt_ i thought i bought it and it says basic edition installed ingame but when i went o the store page it said buy basic edition. so that might be the issue. thank you pratt!!!!! also im able to play the editor and singleplayer part of the game
@@davidwhite8082 No problem, glad to have been able to help you! I'm not familiar with the free version and I can't check because it has been discontinued, but if when trying to by the basic edition it doesn't warn you that you already have it, it was indeed the issue!

Seriously the Soviet in these games need a buff. Whether its Men of War or Gates of Hell the Soviets are always weak or incompetent.

The Soviets are either completely incompetent in these games or this channel is run by wehraboo's for wehraboo's. I mean I'm not against it but at least be honest about it.

Diplex idk if you know but despite what the calibres or the nomenclature might suggest the 57mm ZiS 2 is a better AT gun than the 76.2mm ZiS 3, it was developed in 1940 and adopted in 1941 and for the time is was actually too effective to punch through the thin armor of the German panzers of that period of the war, and the 57mm was a new caliber for the Soviet army so they discontinued its production in 1942 before starting again in 1943 until the end of the war when heavier armor was fielded by the Germans.
And for the last line, it's way to close of that ridge so the slow firing IS2 can't get be used to their full potential, and the ridge allow the German to fire at an angle that reduce the efficiency of their armor, my advice is to put the last line waaay forther away next time, it will be more challenging for the attacking side.
