My favorite foundation right now is Estee Lauder the hydration one. It's absolutely beautiful. It makes it look like you have phenomenal skin. It looks juicy and the coverage is everything! I have very dry skin.

I have mature dry skin with wrinkles and fine lines and have struggled to find a base that wasn’t patchy, sank into lines or clung to every dry flake, but I have found several that I love. Flower is one of those and also the most affordable. Chantecaille future skin is another. The third is Chantecaille tinted moisturiser that interestingly has more coverage than its sister.

At your suggestion Gemma, my ultimate favourite is now Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Believe It! Foundation + Concealer 30ml! It is unbelievable gorgeous even on my mature skin! My favourite's are Shiseido synchro skin and Bobbi Brown liquid to powder foundation, I also love Bare Minerals tinted gel moisturizer. Also recently retried YSL touche éclat illuminator/concealer, and on top of the Lancome or Revlon concealers on the inner eye corners it amazing, my eyes look 95% better. X

I have been using Fenty Pro Filtr Soft Matte foundation pretty much exclusively for the last couple of years...I keep thinking maybe I should change but if it isn't broken why fix it!
I did recently swap from using a damp sponge to using a foundation brush (Real Techniques No. 241) which is a game changer, I now use way less foundation than I did, thanks for keeping on at how good brushes are!

Really enjoying the videos on yr favorites…foundations or whatever! I still have not yet found that one affordable foundation where I can say, “ThIs is it! This is the one!” My complexion is textured and plenty of wrinkles…sigh…I may give the PhysiciansFormula or the Flower Beauty a try. Do you have an opinion for one being better than the other for mature (68-yr-old) skin?

Having the Fussiest Skin Ever, I need foundations that are unscented and free of organic sunscreens. My meager foundation collection thus consist of Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation stick (old favorite), Urban Decay Hydromaniac (your review was the first video I saw on your channel) and Lisa Eldridge Seamless skin. The two latter were new to me this year. I am kind of curious about the KVD Good Apple, but I feel like the ones I have pretty much covers my needs. 😊

I tried sooooo many foundations in 2021 while figuring out how to do my makeup for my Feb 2022 wedding (which has now been pushed out to Feb 2023 🤦‍♀️)…I think 12 or 13 different formulas, some with multiple shades. I really didn’t like them. The only one that works well for me is BareMinerals BarePRO powder foundation. I thought it would look bad on my dry skin, fine lines, some texture, etc. But it sits on my skin far better than any liquid, cream, or stick foundation I tried! You can really pack it on for good coverage (you’re not supposed to buff it, like their original loose powder foundation). Anyway, I think that’s the foundation I’ll go with, but I will probably mix concealer with my moisturizer underneath the foundation to get really full coverage.

    • @onewhisper22005
      @onewhisper22005 3 ปีที่แล้ว

So sorry you had to delay your wedding!! Have you tried the Catrice True Skin Hydrating Foundation? I’m 36 with dry skin and it works great. It’s got amazing coverage even without being built up but can also be built up. It feels good on the skin and looks great on the skin! My OG favorite is ABH Luminous Foundation. It was the first dewy foundation I ever tried that was full coverage with just a light layer but it still looked so beautiful on the skin!

Thank you for your lovely presentation. I have four foundations on the go at the moment. Two I am using more so I can finish them and not replace, at this time, I may change my mind. They are Lisa Eldridge and Lancôme Teint idole ultra wear. I just love wearing No 7 HydraLuminous and Dior Backstage. These last two blend and cover my skin without sitting in my wrinkles and looks caked on. My medication causes me to feel very hot and sweaty in the hairline at times so that’s why I tried Dior and just love that one. I look forward to the rest of your series. Thank you Gemma

Hi Gemma my favourite long wear foundation (mask wearing needs long wear) is the Lancome teint idole in shade 008 (a perfect shade match) and my favourite moisturising foundation was the Mac F&B in shade C1 (a good match, but not quite as perfect as the Lancome). I have very dry, mature, rosacea and eczema prone skin for reference. Those are really the only two I wore, but the bare minerals complexion rescue gets an honorable mention as a quick tinted moisturiser some days. I obviously don't try as many as a youtuber, nor do I spend massive amounts like the la mer or the ultimate winner lol. I was however really happy with the performance of the three mentioned. Best wishes.

My current favourite is Zelens Age Control, which is sad because I bought it from TK Maxx and can't afford the regular price 😄 I rarely wear make-up these days, but since buying this my other foundations have been made redundant.

Where do you get these foundations, I haven't heard of most of them, I live in a small town and travel to larger towns to buy clothes, make up etc but haven't come across these names, used to go to debenhams for make up, but now they have gone.

Love your makeup look with your new, not so new anymore, hair color. I remember your video with the Physician Formula foundation, because I left a comment saying how beautiful your complexion looked. It is a shame that two of those lines only carry 12 shades. Strange for this day and age.

Please give Zelens age control foundation a try. It’s literally been my most amazing foundation ever!! And such a bargain at £14 in TK Maxx. It’s ran out for me now and I’m in morning because I refuse to pay the £60-70 price tag but it’s bee-you-tea-full!!

Just wore Flower today for the first time. Yup I think it’s one of the winners. Still trying to get up the courage to spend the high dollars. December is donations month to the charities for Christmas and I feel guilty. Guilt sucks.

Ive been loving NARs Radiant Longwear. Its so light on the skin and you need to use hardly any product each time, it makes my skin look amazing. For a more budget option Ive enjoyed the Catrice HD Foundation also the Wet & Wild Dewy Photo Focus foundation which i love but the shade range available in the UK is rubbish.
Ive been wanting to try the Flower Beauty foundation and the Physicians Formula you mention for a while bit find it hard to

My absolute #1 foundation for 2021 definitely would have to be the LYS - it’s glorious!
If anyone can help me find the Flower Beauty Light Illusion foundation here in Canada that would be awesome. Old fav as well but can’t find it anywhere here in Canada anymore except Amazon sometimes and it’s outrageously priced 😳😬
    Have a beautiful week💕

Great video, thank you. I've been using Boots No. 7 liquid foundation but it doesn't have enough coverage. Been mainly using BareMinerals powder foundation for years now but I'm just about to turn 50 and would like to try other types. I did try their new liquid one but it didn't sink in properly or give great coverage. I have fair skin with spider veins & red cheeks. My skin is pretty smooth for my age and I don't have many wrinkles. I do however have insomnia so have baggy eyes & dark circles. I'm slightly tanned at the moment. Every time I go to BareMinerals they give me a different shade. Recently it was Natural Ivory but I add a little medium tan before I buff cos I'm not sure it's the correct shade. Wondering which other foundations I should try but I don't know which shade when buying online. If I go to a large Boots store, there are so many different counters that i wouldn't know where to go for a good medium coverage foundation that sinks into my skin. Does anyone have any suggestions? I also need a good concealer that doesn't sit like paste or make the bags/circles look worse! Thanks in advance :)

I too am an ex mineral powder girl (not Bare Minerals though, that stuff did not sit well on my skin) with redness and old acne scarring and I am trying to find a good foundation that is easy to apply with fingers, lasts all day, transfer resistant without added fragrance or essential oils. Gemma has some great suggestions but try to start off with the cheapest such as Maybeline Fit Me, it's quite versatile on the cheaper scale and you might find some success with it. If you go for the higher end, always get samples in a couple of different shades first.

Nitpicking pit nicker here, but it's not zero 10, but O 10 (ochre) in the Clé de Peau, as opposed to the I and B shades (ivory and beige).
    Who cares? No one!
