Hi Vibzz, I like to draw your attention to a simple fact about Anthracene. The fluorescence of pure Anthracene is blue @ 365 nm excitation. The Anthracene you are using, like many commercial Anthracenes, has a yellowish to green fluorescence due to the presence of tiny impurities like Pyrene, and other PAH's. These impurities quench the blue fluorescence of Anthracene and give off their own fluorescence which is at a longer wavelength. Please make more 🙏 videos on Anthracene. It is my favorite molecule
Hi Vibzz, I have a question. I followed this prep th-cam.com/video/3pErT98dvGE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xGI9m4IDvuzEmv_j Starting with what I assumed was anthracene because I had bought it and the label said anthracene. It didnt look as yellow as yours and my end product looked more like your starting product. What I made is a brightly fluorescing yellow compound under uv, it's more fluorescent than the light blue of the anthracene but they both fluoresce. I've checked other sources and they also say anthraquinone doesn't fluoresce like this. Any ideas what I might have made?

Thanks, Vibzz... I m trying to watch all.
Will you be going to use for making hydrogen peroxide
😅
Tq it's really useful video..
Thank you very much for the video. Can we use Potassium dichromate instead of Chromic acid ?
Thank you
How about polyanthraquinone, do you know how to make that too
What about mechanism pls can you explain me the mechanism
If you want a pharma use of Anthraquinone, either Prazepine or Enprazepine or Elantrine ...
Nice👌

Please do some Anthraquinone production from benzene and phthalic anhydride.
Informative
Neat!
I did the reaction with Potassiumdichromate :D

I love you channel ❤. Anthraquinone is not a hydrocarbon. It is aromatic though.
