It was H D shetty, promoter of falcon tyres and karnataka scooters, brought to India with collaboration from BSA of UK, in the early eightees, it was called BSA falcon gt 50, he sold it to Brooke bond, after that the name BSA bond came about
Lovely bike - Learning all of the time as haven't heard of the Bond. Look up BSA Brigand. It was the 'off road' style 50cc in England (The road version was the Beaver) I had two Brigands in 1985 (one as a donor) & after a 36 year gap I've just found one!
BSA Bond was assembled in a factory in Somanahalli, near Maddur, Karnataka.
They used to assemble Falcon scooters previously in the same factory.
This was a project led by SM Krishna, Central Industrial minister at that time.
