Did you have the vent totally closed so it just smokes?

Hey Shelly the pit boss vent or smoke stack is always open. There is no way to shut it off. It creats smoke when you set the temp to smoke or 180. When i cook chicken i normally run it on 350

Hey William my grill was on 350 and i normally let them get a pretty good char on one side before i flip them over probably 8 to 10 min per side.
