Thank you Mario! We are glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the feedback! We chose to sing according to the sheets we bought from the publisher but we are aware that a few other choirs have been singing the last chord in a major. We prefer to keep the fidelity to the orginal notes and we like the sound of a minor as the last chord. Our next concert is on 25th of october, in Klosterkyrkan, and you are very welcome to attend! Thank you very much for your kind comment. As a choirmaster, I look strictly to the score written, but in this case I like to think that a diesis is missing, because I own a score with diesis at the end. Major mode is also more in tune with the Balkan tradition from where I belong and the popular origin of the song.

Nice but a “tad” slow which loses the energy of the piece. Xena was trotting here (when she should be galloping). 😉
And another truth - the song is telling, that a maiden wants to marry a guy from a different village, not from her own. Mixing genes = having better population. Instead of GBR, who started a migrants program in the 60s (or 70s), because then they realize, that they are all cousins (the most albino nation in the world).
