This is my favorite Zoia tutorial. Thank you for the clear close up view, clear explanations, and using your left hand (without blocking the screen like everyone else on TH-cam). I would love to see more tutorials with a defined goal like this.
Some ideas: using the two buttons to transpose an incoming CV sequence by octaves, a little sequencer where you can turn steps on and off but also assign notes to each step, a tuner so you can tune kicks and oscillators. No idea if these are possible but just some ideas..
Perfect! Just what I needed to introduce myself to my Euroburo. Great video... and so far the best colour I've seen as well... a clear view really helps in understanding what's going on. Thanks!
Great Tutorial, thanks! I wish there was a "Bypass" button that could be configured on all of the effects... I would like to set up a multi effect chain (say distortion->delay->reverb->compression) where I have a bypass switch for each effect. Currently trying to figure out how to do this most elegantly. This tutorial gives me a place to start... Thanks!
The easiest way would be to have a VCA for each effect and then connect it to a touch switch. The output of the VCAs would either chain into each other or route to a final mixer
Excellent video. Thanks. Those green and brown cable coming from output where they go? One question I have with modular is how to connect those modular outputs to standard 1/4 mixer in.
Thanks. The cables go directly into my mixer as that is the audio output from the Zoia. It's at line level, and you can get modules that do modular->line level conversion. Though most mixers will handle Eurorack level with some reduction in gain
@@SynthDad well thats a new finding for me ! I always though eurorack outputs were different voltage that traditional audio 1/4 plugs. very simple connection then. I appreciate !
Thanks a lot for this! :) The importing of presets seems a bit convoluted, why doesn't it populate the various modules by itself? Or rather, can it do that now?
@@SynthDad i haven't seen those tutorials yet. I will check out. I have a functioning looper now that works with my WMD metron, but id like to improve it. Ty for reccomend and enjoy your new gear :) ty for sharing
Well spotted :) I moved the buttons to be beside each other to take up less space. Once you have made the connections then you can place the UI button on top of the other button's CV output connection. This applies to all modules on the Zoia/Euroburo
Hello! Is it possible to send through the CV output Pitch and Gate signals ( previously configured for that ) for sequencing a external VCO ( as beatstep pro )? and.. is it possible connect a Stompswitch in Euroburo? Thanks !!
Yes the CV output can send any Eurorack voltage, so you can use it as a pitch sequencer or gate output. Stompswitch - no but it does have two extra buttons on the front you can use as them
One quick question, at first the four selector buttons take 8 squares on the top row, but at the end of the video there are only four squares. Did you change the modules?
Yes I forgot to mention that - you can move the UI buttons so they overlap and take up less space (you can do that with any module on the Zoia). But you have to connect the outputs first before you move them
@@SynthDad Ahhh ok, very cool and thanks for the info! I do have one more question if that's ok, I'd like to use an attenuator to control the connection strength between two modules inside Zoia, is this possible?
@@vertigev Yes - there are a few ways to achieve this but the simplest is to use a Multiplier module with one signal controlling the strength of another
Ace presentation as always SD but for myself far to much complex Menu diving, for studio programming to create Music superb but for live situation would be stressful to view selections, less is best to worry about, I feel that Physical turning of dials, sliders in a modular case is easier to control than this module, I’ll probably be proved wrong but I have enough trouble with Digitakt learning so this module a step to far Many thanks anyway Synthdad👍🆒🎶🎶😎
Yes there’s a lot of diving involved here because you are building a modular patch in the module. Of course you can use it without any of that just by downloading patches off patch-storage. But the real power of the Zoia/Euroburo ecosystem is building your own patches. Thanks for watching!

This was quite useful and educational one. I've never used audio switches! Never knew you could import pages! Got some great ideas! Thank you!
Sweet! The importing pages from other patches looks very useful. Thanks! 🙏

Thank you so much!
thanks to your video I have a new admiration for my FxAid XL -- so easy to use!
The FX Aid XL is my favourite too - I use it in all my patches.

Awesome walkthrough!
The Twin Waves seems like an awesome paring with the MD because it doesn't need an external quantizer!
Exactly - the two work really well together

@@SynthDad ok thanks, so they are cables 3.5 to 1/4 trs standard ?
@@roberto.a.cumsille They're just standard 3.5mm patch cables and I bought 3.5mm -> 1/4trs adapter plugs

very helpful! was there any follow ups to this as mentioned?
Not yet! I'm hoping to make more videos with the Euroburo soon
It would be nice to see a video on using the looper, im using one myself and trying to set up a way to make the looper function internally and sync'd
I can look into making a video on it. I’ll have to do some study on it. But there are Zoia tutorials on the looper out there. Do they work for you?

6:20 whoa hold on a sec. How did your button layout change? The top buttons no longer took 8 slots, only 4.

@@SynthDad oh that's super cool! If you need to make adjustments later is it easy to revert the changes?
@@MrMarcLaflamme Yes you can move the modules at any time and the underlying connections are revealed

It is possible to chain effects together, right? Whereas FX Aid cannot
Yes absolutely, you can chain as many effects as you want up to the CPU limit
really clever, thanks!
