See, that's what i would probably do. I have PC emulators so can already do anything this can, but kinda still want to feel the old real thing again. But we know i ain't gunna use it...
Great selection, I’ve written down about 20 from that list for my The Soectrum Xmas present One for you in return: I think you’d like the Sacred Armour of Antiriad , had it in a compilation set, one of the few games I completed
A great selection mate! Especially as you included one of my all-time favourite games, Turrican! I think I've probably still got a lot of those games on tape in the loft somewhere
This brought a smile to this old man's face. So many bangers that will be going straight on a thumb drive in anticipation for my highly anticipated delivery some time in November. Plus, a good few that I have yet to play, and even some I had no idea got peccy ports! I will bd dipping into this vid on a regular basis just to curate my imminent piratey endeavour 😉 Abd there's no such thing as too many licenced games on the Speccy 😎
What a great compilation. I remember the 48k+ being re-released around five years ago and I thought about buying one as it wasn't too expensive, but the reviews said that some the pre-loaded games didn't work properly and that games couldn't be added to its library, due to copyright issues. I decided to stick with the ZX32 emulator for Windows, which I've been using for well over 20 years. Some of the games on the CD-ROM don't work (e.g. Bruce Lee), but if you dig deep enough, you can find working versions online.
I’m a FUSE guy myself. There are so many terrible Spectrum games out there, but when you find a good one it feels like you’ve unearthed some forgotten about great scripture!
I think Bruce Lee was too easy on the Spectrum. I had a mate with the Commodore 64 and the Sumo baddie was a bit more savvie there. Great game though, gonna add that to my list!
@@halfmetal74 I agree. I must've completed it in a day or two back in 85. But I continued playing it because I enjoyed the challenge of completing it without losing a life. When I play it today on the ZX Spectrum emulator, I get through it in about 10 minutes.
I didn't have a speccy back in the day, so I've no nostalgia for it, but there's some good games on this list fo' sho. Great job including some homebrew too, they all look damn fun!
You maybe right regards Cyclone, it’s arguably the better game because the helicopter is lot more responsive. Minder has no right to be as good as it is.
I’d love to buy this and plug it in for 30 minutes before never looking at it again
Haha! This is very much my experience of Mini consoles and I will continue to do this!

Pretty much what I did, when I discovered it cannot be fully used with a controller, contrary to promises. But hey, it looks good in the box.

The Sacred Armour Of Antirad eh? I’ve just looked at a few screenshots. Big chunky sprites! That could be right up my street.
Thank you!
Always happy to see fat worm on any list. Totally captivated me back in the day and I am looking for it for my retrogames spectrum.
I was introduced to it via a Crash covertape in 1990. I absolutely loved it.
Someone who knows his stuff, always to be respected. Props.
Aww, thank you. I’ve thought of more games since then! What a fine childhood I had with that machine.

Your loft must be an Aladdins cave of wonder!
@@jaethemanchild It has been said. I need to sort though it at some point and find all the stuff I keep talking about

I hope I give your forthcoming wee little box of wonders just an extra sprinkling of fairy dust! I love a license, me!

I barely scratched the surface of the homebrew market too, people have been sharing some machine pushing awesomeness!
The NES version of Elite is one of the best
I remember it got really good reviews, didn’t it?
@@jaethemanchild very good for playing on a little retro handheld.
Technician Ted?
That’s a good shout. I was bad at that game though, so wouldn’t be in my picks. Understand the love though!
Trivial Pursuit ❤
It’s a good un
Bruce Lee. On my list.
That’s a good shout!
My desert island cassette. Good shout.
How could you put TLL and not Cyclone? But Minder is one of my favourite Spectrum games!
You maybe right regards Cyclone, it’s arguably the better game because the helicopter is lot more responsive.

Great video. Bomb Jack a great game imo
Bombjack could easily have made the list in retrospect. The spectrum one is a great conversion
Rubbish! Death Wish 3 is the BEST movie ever!
It’s certainly the fourth or fifth best movie to star Alex Winter.
You missed 'Sam Fox Strip Poker' off the list matey. 😅😅
An all time classic
And the Soho Sex Quest text adventure 🤣🤣
@ an all time classic!
MARION Cobretti, and yes the film is shit
Thank you, I’m keeping my record of one mistake per video going. Always good to be consistent!
I was totally with you till you chose that stinking rotten egg 🤢🤮💩.
Hudson hawk was a great movie.
Another dizzy game, I've unsubbed.
I’m sorry it left you egg bound!

You’re not wrong.
